I know I ask alot of questions, but theres no "angels" online and i couldnt find any info anywhere on this

if theres is a description of how exactly power plants work, please redirect me to it

so pretty much, how do power plants work? im down to 8% power on my rhino, because I have too much turrets, yet the hardpoints are there...can anyone explain how to get more power? thanks

Did you read the thread at all?

Your power has been reduced because you are using non-green-cell technology.

All ships start at 100% until you mount incompatible technology.

I have the same problem, I also clicked that link given to read it but don't know why it opens another window with the whole forum and all sections in it.
I bought a 4250 cargo and i put all my turrets down, same 10% put it back, same 10% power plant.
Please some1 answer in here. All links I click in this forum will throw me back to forum and I see all forum sections, see picture under:

Let's say that two factions are at war with each other. I'll take Liberty Navy and Rheinland Military as an example. Because they're in war, they don't share technology. If you mount Rheinlandian guns on your Libertonian ship, the ship's computer won't recognize the weapons/the weapons won't have the right sized power sockets/the weapons will use totally different type of energy of the one that the ship produces. Thus, your energy will be used far less efficiently, being reduced to a certain amount.

As others said before, you have nerf on your ship, if use incompatibile technology on it.

Damn, I bought a 4250 cargo ship from zoner base, guns... (I think from Liberty?!?), ID card from Bretonia.
But I realized something, regardless if a +4000 cargo ship has 0 guns or 10 guns, when some player (pirate) attack you, you can't do sh##. I tried my best to fight a pirate but... I didn't even scratched him, and he just 3 shoot me.
So, my advise to all traders with +4000 cargo hold, better let pirats destroy you then pay more credits then you have in your cargo (i.e. if they ask 2m credit and ur cargo is under 2m, better let them attack you, in the explosion they will lose some from the cargo you have, even so, if will be like 2500 (half from 5k cargo) the pirat can't take all unless another pirat is clocked with a big cargo, or *like I sow in Liberty* a Junker with big cargo stands near the pirate and take the loot).
Thanks guys to explaining me this issue, now I know. At my status must buy a large train from bretonia and weapons to (and all items needed).

What I have noticed is it is more than just matching ships and guns. If your ID does not match as well you still get a deduction. It seems to me all 3 have to match. Example, if you have liberty navy ship and guns with freelancer ID you get reduction anyways. Have to have liberty navy ID for no deduction.

ID is the crux of it all.

Your ID dictates what is considered green cell, red cell and yellow cell.
A 100% match on everything gives you a full core.

Check your ID and cross-check it with your weapons and ship. If anything doesn't match and is a red cell on the chart, you've found the source of your problems.
