Gutten tag. This is Letnaunt Matt Black of the Red Hessians. Today I have cut a deal with an Outcast who was selling weapons to his Red Hessian allies for a really affordable price. I acquired two Onyx, two Jades and a Bloodstone for price of 3 million credits.
The engineers are still trying to figure out best compatible weapon configuration aviable for me. I've been doing a lot of tests with various type of weapons and currently am closing to my goal of reaching the final decision.
I have recruited a new member for Red Hessians by the last name of Lenz. I understand that I do not have the required power within the Hessians to do any recruitment, therefore I accept all responsibility for this solution. In my opinion. its the best for the Hessians to increase its numbers by every opportunity. Afterall, I know what I am doing. The recruit funded himself and has received the Bloodstone that I bought from our Outcast ally.
Today Vogtland was attacked by OPG pirate, who, I must admit, was very courageous to charge Vogtland base without any support and radiation-damaged hull. I called in our Outcast ally to deal with the threat and the target was quickly eliminated. It is important that we start negotiations with OPG as soon as possible to prevent further hostilities.

If the OPG are so hell-bent on attacking our base, then we must consider them hostile. I would open a channel of communication with them were it not for the fact that they seem to be allied with the Corsairs...do not hunt them...yet. But if one appears on your scanners, don't hesitate to destroy them. They are enemies of the Fatherland.
An auspicious day...the flagship's refitting is nearly complete. She now lacks only armor, and a pair of turrets. However, while I was performing a few menial tasks to adjust the automatic IFF, I encountered a very audacious trader by the name of "OTC_Zeus." His IFF screamed Kruger, and I inquired as to what gave him the sheer nerve required to fly so close to the core of the Hessian movement.
He answered that he was working on fixing his IFF...gentlemen, if you see him, hold him to that. Naturally, all Kruger, Daumann, and Republican-tagged vessels are to be subject to slightly more tax than most other ships; whereas we take it somewhat light on GMG and IMG transports. At any rate, I told him that it would be in his best interests to vacate the system while I did the mission I had launched to do; and sure enough, when we returned, he was gone. No other activity to report this time.

This is Rekrut Dieter Lenz. I am reporting the results of today's assignment in Dresden. The target Kruger and Daumann convoys were tracked from long-range scanners and hid near the New Berlin Jump Gate, waiting in ambush. The Kruger convoy came out of the trade lane first, at this point I engaged. The whole convoy was destroyed in a matter of seconds, thanks to the Thor's advanced weapon systems. The Daumann convoy must have heard the calamity and quickly sped towards the Jump gate. They were lucky, only one Train and two Hawks were destroyed by me.
As the rest of the convoy fled to New Berlin a Liberty Police ship came in range of my scanners. No idea what the LPI are doing in Rheinland, but it can't be good. He went through the jump gate as I dealt with newly arrived foes - Rheinland Police. The Banshees were no match for my Thor and were dispatched in short order.
The spoils of the raid were plentiful and great. Included were a shipment of diamonds, civilian weapons, tons of copper and lesser commodities. The diamonds are on their way now to Kreuzberg and the rest were taken back to Vogtland.
The Kruger and Daumann pilots that were captured are currently being interrogated by our specialists. I haven't heard about what they did to the Rheinland Police pilots... Frankly I wouldn't care if they jettisoned them into the radiation pockets.
Awaiting my next assignment.
Lenz out.

Achtung. This is Letnaunt Matt Black. I have a report of past two days to make.
It was two days ago when I received transmission of a blockade in Sigma 13 on open channels. It was NovaPG Blood Dragons that were running the blockade in the system. It was a good chance to cut the veins of Rheilands trade. Time was crucial and I ordered to launch my ship immediately. My Odin joined Blood Dragons craft consisting of 3 fighters, 2 bombers and a Cruiser by Sigma 13 jump hole. The leader gladly accepted assistance.
I happened to had a unique opportunity to see how The Blood Dragons tactics work. They have a strict command chain. There is always one fighter appointed as the head of the mission. He is ordering the other troops through the command channels, while participating in an onslaught himself. Craft is splitted into several groups according to numbers and patrol certain areas determined by the head of the assault. Invasion tactics seem to be specific. A Cruiser class ship jumps in first, then other craft follows. The leader of the mission is the last one to jump through a jump hole. He makes clear that no one is following. Blood Dragons tactics are swift, fast, well-timed and effective. It was almost poetic.
Keep your friends close and enemies even closer. I have come up with several theoretical solutions on how to counter their tactics, but who knows what are the other surprises that the Blood Dragons have to offer? I transferred this material to my personal log for further analysis, but until then these theories are only that theories.
As you know, NovaPG Blood Dragons are ex-Hessian fighters who adopted combat style from The Blood Dragons. With that in mind, it is possible that our fighters could adopt fighting style of these Ronin.
My mission with Blood Dragons went fluently and soon I was ordered to return back to Dresden with 10 million credits paid by their leadership. It seems that no foreigner is allowed into the holy system of Forbidden City - the Kyoto. The credits were transferred to our new recruits neural net as a refund for financing his own recruitment expenses.
On my return I met Hessian Cruiser named Varyag. Its Commander appears to know a lot about equipment and engineering. He took me to distant planet Malta, where I fully equipped my ship and finally set up final load out. My engineers were impressed by this optimal variant between firepower and Hessian protocol. I spent the night on Malta.
Yesterday I took a long way back to Vogtland for regrouping. I was given three escorts by RoS Outcasts. The journey went flawlessly and I disbanded my escorts in Dresden.

Rejoice! Obviously, the Kanzler's lies lack the pull they once had...join me in welcoming no fewer than three new Rekruts in hardly a greater number of days! The people of Rheinland are behind us, and that fact is more clear now than it ever was before.
I launched from Freital today to find a Corsair Titan not far away. With the Eismaid's crew still fresh and well-rested, I set off in pursuit. Using the system-wide communication channel, I suggested that he flee. The Corsair was quick to heed that suggestion, disappearing through a jump hole in a matter of seconds.
I decided we would raid some Daumann convoys near Solarius station; a small vessel came cruising from the Stuttgart jump gate. It was too small to be worth charging for passage...but the five Hessian pilots in his hold needed to be freed. Fortunately for him, he jettisoned the pilots as I asked. They are now safely in Vogtland, recovering in the medical ward.
Then, a juicier target: a Transport, the sort that you can find anywhere in Sirius. I disrupted his cruise engines, and requested a small donation for his continued good health. No response. I gave him five seconds to comply...he flew towards the planet that Solarius orbits. I could scarcely believe it...this insane transport pilot would commit suicide rather than pay?! I sometimes wonder if the Wilde have infiltrated humanity further than we suspect...I opened fire, and managed to destroy his vessel before it could impact. His escape pod was plucked up by SAR teams from Solarius, so keep your eyes out for this one in the future. When his vessel was destroyed, artifacts spilled from his sundered hold... Here is a transcript of the event.
Then I made haste to Dresden, to help Wolfgang in getting his reputation set up properly. I had just launched from Vogtland on a mission when I spotted a RepEx Train passing just outside of CD range! I set off in hot pursuit, but broke off when the trader got too close to the battleship Altenburg. I completed the mission while I waited for the Train to undock, some 4k distant. Sure enough, he undocked, and I dashed in to catch him. Three missiles later and he was dead in space. I had to keep dodging gunfire from the battleship, but nonetheless came away from the encounter one million credits richer.

A glorious day for the Hessian cause! I had just finished eating breakfast with my family in our quarters when I received an urgent message: a Corsair cruiser was in Dresden! I sent an order to scramble all available fightercraft and ready the Sternenfaust for immediate undocking. In a matter of minutes, I was on the bridge of the flagship as she undocked. The Corsair had not been spotted; indeed, was not even within sensor range of Vogtland.
So, we waited. Leutnant Black was already in space, and Rekrut Lenz flew his bomber all the way from Sigma-13 with all possible speed. When the three of us joined in space near Vogtland, we decided to go hunting. Our first destination was the New Berlin -> Dresden jump gate. Nothing. We took the tradelanes all the way to Leipzig with no sign of the Corsair. Then reports came in of him having fled to Frankfurt...we made our way to the jump hole to Frankfurt, and jumped in only to find he was back in Dresden again!
This time, the Matt and Dieter went through first, in an effort to flush him out before I jumped in. But instead, they found him fleeing! They gave chase while I jumped through. Oddly enough, he was headed towards Vogtland...Corsairs have tried to land there in the past, and I hoped that this one would be so foolish so that we could imprison his entire crew. But he slowed to engage the fightercraft, allowing me to catch up. It was a simple slugfest, with little maneuvering from the target...he actually chose to target Matt's Odin instead of the Thor or my cruiser! The result is, I believe, better shown than told.
An Outcast thanked us afterwards, saying that the cruiser had been causing trouble...I have no doubt, as I found nuclear mines in his hold, in addition to some Hessian pilots. A decisive victory by a force composed solely of Hessians. Let us hope that this is only the first of many such victories. For the Fatherland!
Yesterday the Varyag set out from Vogtland to intercept a RM cruiser thought to be patrolling near New Berlin. On our approach to the planet we stumbled into an interesting fight. Corsairs where already attacking bounty hunter and RM forces there. The crew set to station and the Varyag slammed into the fight cannon blazing. The RM cruiser posed little threat so we engaged the Corsairs instantly. Right at that moment connection to the world stopped (red lag) so we broke off without being fired at and set out till we could resolve the interference. Not wanting to break the natural law we set back about 13k to see what would happen. The Corsairs destroyed the Cruiser and GB defending New Berlin, an additional BH battle cruiser had to leave. They then restocked munitions from the locals and set after the Varyag. An excruciatingly long battle ensued ending eventually with all Corsair ships destroyed, and the Varyag significantly damaged but still functional. We limped to the Junker base for patchwork repairs and headed for Vogtland for rebuild and resupply. So all in all a good day for ridding Rein of RM and foreign invaders.
Congratulations on your victory in Dresden, This crew salutes you.
Engineers say the old girl should be back up and battle ready in about a day.
Commander, RH Cruiser Varyag
on a side note we recovered 3 codies from the corsairs and would like to donate them to the cause, one Onix, one Iron Hammer, and one Diamondback. let me know who to pass them to

I am gladd to hear that while fighting treacherous Corsairs myself in skirmishes in Dresden system The Varyag too managed to win a great victory in New Berlin for our cause. You may entrust war bounty to our mediator - Bjorg Olsen. She is staying at Vogtland at the moment and will pass the equipment to our vaults, if you dont run into them first.

Ja, this is Leutnant Matt Black of the Red Hessians. Tranmitting report. Today Ich run into a Bounty Hunter pilot. My scanners picked him away from inhabitable planet Deidus. I returned to Freital to resupply and prepare. Then an ambush was set in a fragment field near Solarius station. The Bounty Hunter was picked by my scanners just a moment after. A scan was placed and Red Hessian pilots were found in his hold. The Bounty Hunter refused dropping the pirates and a battle emerged.
The Bounty Hunter was using a unique fighting technique. He was launching EMP missiles to cope with shield and using powerful weapons to breach the hull. Due to these circumstances the Bounty Hunter had the upper hand at the start of the fight and I had to adapt a new fighting style to counter his attack properly. I focused my attention and skill on countermeasures to escape EMP missiles. Sharper turns helped to avoid his weapons fire. Mine placed on moving trajectory succesfully reached its target. The battle pace changed and the advantage of the enemy was taken. The target was demoralised by a sudden turn of battle and lost his vigilance. His moves became uncordinated and the Bounty Hunter moved aimlessly leaving an opening. The timing was right. It resulted in death of my oponent just before an ion storm hit the area.

Ah, I cannot tell you all how good it is to be back in my Odin's cockpit. A joy to fly, she is...and I have finally settled on a weapons loadout, as well. I do, however, still need to finish outfitting my Thor. I expect to have that done by tonight, at which point it'll be a simple matter of getting it back home again. Dodging Corsair caps and BHG patrols is interesting, but dangerous.
I'd like to encourage you all to fly more often, and to log your flight time here. Yes, we are surrounded by enemies; so practice gauging the odds, and fleeing when they are against you. Remember, direct conflict isn't our goal right now; trade disruption is. We are fighting a guerilla war here, gentlemen, at least until our forces are stronger. Hunt lone Corsairs and BHG. Strike at traders, especially RepEx, whenever you can. Avoid fights that you cannot win...we don't need dead heroes.
