only one question.when lsf will make complet blockade on the alaska JG,is that not too big advantage to the others? because that way can save you time, and no little time. and i dont mind smugling, but for example mercs, when they stop merc of flying trough the alaska, they have long way to go to minor or delta. or what will people make when corsair blokade the kappa JH? All who only passing trough gamma to kappa/delta/minor will fly trough all systems of sirius? my personal opinion is that is not good make permanent blockade, that is the same as deleting the jumpgate.because have jumpgate only for few chosen pilots is nothing good i think.(and the chosen i mean liberty police/navy)
and dab,i was many times near theta jh in gamma, but i never see a zoner there.only bounty hunters. But zoner no.
and when you move there 2 dread(players characters) then be not surprised when as escort come 4-5 bobmers or equal power to destroy the dreads+some forces that will be called to protect dreads.(i mean that only when that be players dreads)
' Wrote:Kinda agree about Zone 21 but you don't need to camp the JG?
I think a lot of people may have overlooked the fact that gate camps don't always know who is coming. I've camped a JH in Theta once, when there were BSG coming (during the first war with them) to find out it was two trains. I thought they were capships. I was there in the Ableben to fight them off.. When I found they were trains, I obviously couldn't attack them. Though I did send two AW fighters off after them.
I clearly don't see a reasonable point for a Corsair to penetrate in Liberty with an aggressive stance. Smuggling is something different which shouldn't be mixed with acting as a Corsair. I am afraid, the priorities a Corsair should be caring for would be rather different than moaning about the Liberty security system protecting the entrances that the smugglers are most probably inclined to use. I don't say don't smuggle. It is okay but don't go to Liberty with a Corsair ID unless you have a very special RP explanation. Thats all. You want to visit a house with your Corsair character? Rheinland or Bretonia.
This whole argument is kinda pointless - Here's my take... i have NO problem with Corsairs making runs to Manhattan, or being escorted in force for that matter - it makes perfect RP sense, they want to make money. they make money with artifacts, they want it to get there and as MANY people have said, the mod makes it so Manhattan is the only route worth taking.
That being said, i have NO problem with the LSF et al patrolling, in force to stop these things happening, Zone 21 is restricted, smuggling is bad, pirates have big guns, so.. try to stop them, this makes EQUALLY perfect RP sense. Why there is even an argument i don't know.
They own that system, and the system on the other side of the JG for two.
I agree, they do, and can patrol it how they see fit.
There is not a single Corsair NPC within 2 jumps of New York for three.
This argument for me is the MOST irrelevant point anyone can raise. So what if they are not? if you think the FL universe is a static and unchanging one then sure, stick to this, but heres the thing, the MOD changed the rules of the universe, the universe adapted. It doesnt matter a hoot where NPC's are.. you dont see NPC LSF in Delta, or Mollys in NB, or outcasts in Omega 5 either, but the players are there - big deal, get over it.
The news on Manhattan even says the the Navy owns that jumpgate and that it is restricted to civilians or those not of the Liberty Navy for four.
Yes, it does, which means that the navy etc can/should police it, knock yourselves out - but don't expect Corsairs, who are not civilians but are CRIMINALS, and have lots of guns to back them up to pay ANY attention to liberty laws.. if they did, they wouldnt be smuggling artifacts in the first place would they?
Its guarded by Liberty Navy weapon platforms for five.
No argument there!
The giant shipyard on the other side of that JG is owned by the Liberty Navy, as well as the two prisons for six.
Yep yep yep
The jump gate itself is owned by Liberty. Thats seven.
Repeating previous points...
Oh, and the Missouri's info states that it is there as backup to assist in the defence of all of Zone-21, ALL of it. And that would be eight.
Corsairs can attack why? Thats none.
No actually, the corsairs can attack why? because A: THEY CAN (it's as simple as that, its not their job to worry about whether Liberty likes it or not. and B: they have a vested, and IMPORTANT economic interest in liberty space, (made more important by the mod) and NO ONE is going to stand idly by while their transports, carrying their ECONOMIC LIFELINE are being shot at or intercepted.. and C: regardless of whether anyone likes it or lot, the genie is out of the bottle on this one now, the LSF has a presence in Omicron Delta all the time - none of this is OORP, in fact its RP answer to in game events... go with it! it makes it flexible and fun![/b][/i]
The Mollys SHOULD NOT be in New Berlin. If any Molly player went there, they should be sanctioned, no exceptions. You know why?
1. Rheinland's government objects to Bretonia's handling of the Kusari war
2. Rheinland couldn't care less about the Dublin situation
3. Mollys are motivated by direct economic support from the Outcasts, not Cardamine, so there isn't a link to criminal groups there
4. The Mollys are not a powerful enough group to extend beyond Bretonia and the border systems, both of which they conflict with the war-level Bretonian Armed Forces every single day, not to mention Bretonian intelligence services and one of the finest police services in Sirius.
The whole "I can go there because I want to" attitude is akin to saying "I can shoot Navy NPCs as SA all day because I want to".
Just because someone can, its a bad reason, and does not support RP. LSF going to gamma=mistake, Corsairs in Z21=no sense...
A 'I can be there cause I got there' attitude will have Xenos in Alpha, Keepers in Dublin, RM policing Bretonia, and
all sorts of retardo mayhem....
I would also argue, that the LSF really shouldn't fight the Corsairs....if they've found gamma, the corsairs should point them toward Malta, and end the common enemy.
