Well, apparently others do not think so, Ryoken. And my net is damn fine, thank you very much. But let us face it, when there is a certain number of players on the server, large battles tend to make it lag.

I guess I can't really comment on the server lagging when there are lots of people online, because I haven't seen the server above 130 in a year (not saying it hasn't been higher than that, just that I'm never around to see it).
I do notice it when you've got lots of people in one area though (in conn most of the time actually).
In fairness, that is likely your timezone. GMT Evening often sees it to around 150 or higher, and over New Year's it was above 200 a few times and rather busy.
If you turn off Conn, they'll just end up designating a zone in the RP world as Conn. People who want to PvP practise will find a way to do so. Killing a playingground for them doesn't give you more roleplayers.
Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.

Nope you are right. But doing that kind of crap would be OORP, and get them reported if in any normal system.
Now the only time i have had lagg is DDOS attacks which we can do nothing about, and when a ton of players are in ...you guessed it....Conn!
Hell a few months ago i witnessed the admins go into Conn and scatter them all to outer systems because they were all in there lagging the server. So why can't Cannon do this on a regular basis.

I see where you and others are all coming from. But you all speak as if none of those people would think "Hmm, can't go into conn, maybe I'll patrol NY" or something similar.

Either way, I'm just bouncing ideas off you guys.
Most of them will just go "Oh, well, Conn's gone so let's go to x guard system to pew."
I visit conn often during low times. Quite frankly, the game is so big that, for a boarder worlds player like myself, you get no interaction otherwise. Also, I have really needed practice since I returned to the server. Conn has allowed for that, without rp being a issue. I say the system is needed. Not to mention moving equipment.
