Rogues are neutral !
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Hey, how about trying my new weapons on the rogues, I still remember the first time, those fellas....
Usually I'd make a graceful exit, but this'll be a diff story this time.
Headed off to the Jersey Debris field, lot's of patrols going that side, most likely to meet some rogues there.
Aah, finally found a patrol... hey what the heck, they seem neutral, well, no point in shooting 'em then.

More mining, much more mining
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Let's mine and empty the silverton field.... making some serious credits now.
Lot's of other folks in the field mining.
Incoming message from Legion. Plenty of Xenos near Pueblo Station. Assist.
Let's go... whoa, plenty of them, he wasn't joking. Haven't seem so many trying to get a single trader.
Like gnats they were... what a sight.. Fire 'em weapons !
Tough fight, never ending, finally we both made it out of there, left the xenos at the trade lane.

Trasferred Credits
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Met callsign Delta_12, he wanted some assistence with transferring credits. Well, that's new, let's try that.
Went over to Manhattan for the trade. Couldn't quite figure out how to do the trf, the options seemed a
bit, well new to me.... It took some time to trf the money, to top it the Sirus Net was also a bit slow...
The guy was quite impatient, got trigger happy, but only fired warning shots, must've got
nervous after he handed me out some of his credits. He left in a hurry after the transfer, must've been
something urgent, no wonder he was impatient.
Learnt how to trf though, might come in handy sometime... thanks m8

Level 30
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Finally, lot's of credits later, I'm a Level 30 pilot now.
I think I'll continue freelancing, that way I can see more of Sirius. I've heard of the Kusari and Rheinland houses...
Must visit them and also the border worlds, heard that that's an interesting place, much shrouded in mystery though.
Well, we'll find out.
Must go and get myself a Freelancer ID. I've heard I've to present my qualifications at New London to get an ID.

The big gunz blaze
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Bang, Crack, wizzz, turwizzz.... just a dream. For a second I thought it was real, dropping from the escape pod
of my ship into deep space... scary thought.
Thought I'd take a mid-night strawl to forget this. Is there a better way to get that out of your mind, Sidewinder Fang!
Aarg... that's got me all ready for space now. Ok, just for a while, will go out take a whiff of space dust and then
back to bed. Usually I'd go above Newark Station and look at the inky blue of Manhattan, but tonight I thought I'd take
a close look at battleship missouri, perhaps dock at get a late night discount for a nice shield.
Well, I landed up there, Zone21.. The Missouri looked grand, as always, wonder how it will look if those turrets fired.
Sometimes, one should be careful what one wishes for... Bang... they went off, The missouri and Norfolk Shipyard,
all the trade lanes... What a sight... Then I realised, I saw callsign USS-Titan was testing weapons in all directions.
There was a Bounty Hunter Gunship which shot at him, maybe scratched his shields, but then he replied.
Unfortunately, the bounty hunter was close to Norfolk, which got hit. All hell broke loose, Titan lost shields in the
first few volleys from Missouri, and by the time, he made a run for it, it'd depleted a third of his hull.
Talk about getting the hel outta there... with your life intact... Must have been an expensive bill...
Heh... Rich people. Never know what takes their fancy....
But I'll never forget what happens, when the Big Gunz blaze...
Dunno if I can sleep after seeing that, might as well head to New London, get an early start.

Damn tourist places
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Travelled across the house to Bretonia... Heard that Trafalgar is a nice tourist place, decided to check it out.
In the debris field, I was attacked by the Mollys. Nice red flames from their weapons, but for some reason, I wasn't
getting hit very hard, not any serious rate of damage. Even my weapons were not very effective against the mollys.
Must be using Graviton based shields. I decided to ignore them and docked with trafalgar.
I sold my cargo at the base but hey, where's my credits ??? 140k+ credits, gone... never credited to me.
Neural net issue or not, I want my hard earned credits, damn tourist places, always rip you off...
Now I'm a 100K credits down, had to pay expenses for my trip and I just noticed I'm down a level at 29 !
Can't get that Freelancer ID now, have to work more. Grump grump... aarg.... Silver it is again....
Going to leave here tomorrow, nothing much to do here without my credits...

Leaving Bretonia
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Now to leave this place, didn't have a good experience here, losing my credits 'n all.
Bretonia is so different, from Liberty. Checked out New London, it always rains there, dunno what the citizens do there!
The Bretonian Battleships were a sight to see though. They appear much larger than the ones we have in Liberty.
Not many ships flying around here. Probably explains why so many 'elements'
roam around freely. I saw so many Mollys near large house establishments and planets, it's surprising that Bretonia
police manage to keep the house in order ! Never seen rogues anywhere close to Manhattan by comparison.
Wandered off into the debris field near Canterbury station, bad idea, there were gas pockets in the field and the field
was full of radiation. Didn't have any idea on what kind of radiation, whatever it was, was quite extreme.
Lost half my hull plating, countermeasures and a side cannon and when i rechecked, I lost my shield too !
So now every piece of space junk takes a piece of my hull along... scary. Limped back to Canterbury before any
Mollys showed up. Then got the hell outta Bretonia.

Silver mining again....
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Since my experience in Bretonia left me a few credits short, the next few days will be a mining excercise,
served with Xenos of course. I'll start with the regular run, aah silver mining.
Quite familiar with this place now. I usually meet up with some regulars here - fellow miners.
I met callsign Reccashi here a few times, another miner who just entered space and was collecting credits.
The last time we spoke on the comm channel, he was just starting, now he's quite well off. Mining pays:)
This time around he was doing some long trade runs, running cargo transports somewhere in Bretonia.
Gave me a few tips on trading, Something about Kusari space, hmm I'd like to visit there sometime, heard the
people are nice too.

You dirty miner !
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Back in liberty, life is so predictable... the usual Rogues and Xeno issues, LSF and their covert operations,
the rumours on Manhattan, the smell of the space around here is so comforting (if space has a smell that is)...
But for all this time in space, traveling systems, you always remember your friends and family back home.
Now that I'm an 'accomplished' non-conformer in the family and more importantly I've not been killed yet,
my folks are eager to ask me how it's like making a living in space. There are those who are eager, some who
are shy and then also those who wouldn't ask openly as they clearly and openly disapproved of my doings,
but none the less, they were all interested; interested to know about my travels, places I visited,
about souvenirs I bought for them... and some as to what was so fascinating that I took off !
I had a great time explaining the mining fields, my experience with the Xenos, Bretonia and the run back home.
Of course, none of them had much of a space experience before, at least none of them made a living from
going into space... well except this 1 old uncle of mine. Much of a recluse that old man, not very friendly with
the rest of the family - family gossip tells me (well, at least the one I couldn't avoid hearing),
he's done questionable things in his time in space. He earned quite a reputation - enuf for my folks to refer
to him as the 'Rogue trader' or sometimes just refer to him as the 'Old one'.
The old man comes up to me and asks, so was it worth it ? Whoa, that's probably one of the very few times
I've seen him actually talk at a family reunion, and probably for the first time to me directly !
I smiled and said, yes... I told him about my travels, some people I met, and my mining activities.
I mentioned the word mining and he spurt out - "You Dirty Miner ! Ha ha ha ha..... "
I didn't see what was funny about starting to make a living, apparently it was amusing to him.
He went on: "After all that education you dare to take a step into space, a right one, but you become a
miner !!! Boy, I must tell you, you're just sitting at the lowest rung in the ladder."
"I've been in space a long time boy and I can tell you, you don't want to be mining, you must learn the
business of trade. A true space explorer is a trader. That way you can serve the entire Sirius sector, by
providing goods."
Well that's just about as much as he said, probably the longest he ever spoke in a very long time.
What he said did make sense, a bit direct he was, but right. I've seen most of the traders are well off and
travel a lot more too. I love traveling, but it's probably the trading part I need more lessons on !

Become a trader, he said...
[font=Comic Sans Ms]
Since the last time I had that conversation with the mad old hatter, I couldn't brush off the thought that
I was a miner and must make the 'move up' to a trader. So I enrolled myself in some after hours trading
sessions on Manhattan.
The sessions covered most part of what you could trade in Liberty and how, they even mentioned what is
involved in running a ship, maintenance, piracy, escorts the works...
After the course, I qualified and obtained a Trader ID from Manhattan.
From my mining activities, I had saved up enough credits for a decent freighter ship, I just had to find one !
While travelling to Texas, I received a rather unexpected call..... It was from the 'old one' !!!
I didn't believe it at first, but then his voice came over the comms.....
Old one: So.... *cough*... some of my contacts tell me, that at last someone from our family is a trader again
Me: Yes, well I er... did take some time to apply for a trader license and managed to get one Old one: Hmm, it's true then... What tin did you buy ?
Me: Not anything new yet, going to checkout Texas ship dealers for anything which I can afford for less than a mil credits Old one: *cough*... aarhg... Camara...
Me: Where ?? Old one: Not where miner, but what.... Go to Rheinland, they have better deals there. It's a nice ship, it's easier on the controls...
Me: Rheinland... ok, I will try that... Old one: Later miner... *click*
Strange, very unlike him for him to call... he never calls... I guess he's just helping me to tick off the
others in the family... best not to tell anyone back home...
Nav map... plot a course to Rheinland space...
