' Wrote:I'm a bit late responding here but congrats to Friday. I'm sure you'll do fine. I'm more of the writing type and not the developing type but if I can lend a hand, let me know. If I have some ideas to throw your way, I will.
Carry on, Sir.
' Wrote:Turn Rheinland into a wasteland... A great house fallen into shadow, torn into chaos. The systems strewn with debris, criminal scum or even more -alien- horrors lurk amidst the rocks... Remnant societies crop up in different systems in a fruitless attempt to retain power and order, but instead prey on their neighbors, becoming much like the lawless thieves they once vowed to eradicate. Feuds amongst families, brother fighting brother, a real land of terror.
Or is it a land of opportunity?
With the remnant societies locked away deep within the house, they are desperate for supplies, both for survival, and for war... A Freelancer with the right connections and a quick wit can find payoffs unlike Sirius has ever seen if he dares enter the Chaos that is Rheinland...
Now the cards are in your hands;)Will you play the riches seeking trader, dodging danger and death at ever turn? Or will you be one of the many evils Rheinland has to offer, taking from your neighbor's suppliers in the ever continuing war of attrition? The choice is yours...
That sort of actually happened to Weimar Germany... though with less Mad Max Style everyone killing each other and more Communists/Nazis/Freikorps/Anarchists/Thugs fighting in the streets, people burning worthless money since it was less valuable then firewood, and actually giving factions like the RHA and Coalition a chance of actually succeeding, and the old Rheinwehr and their supporters trying to hold things together, and Liberty probably taking a chunk out of Hamburg or trying to hold up an interim government.
Granted, I had the same idea for Kusari, with a military coup effectively collapsing the government, all of the factions turning on each other, and the house turning into Sengoku Jidaiin space!
Though I have other ideas I like better then that so Rheinland needs to die first.

Haha love it, So RHA wins... and then ends up having to defend the boarders of Hamburg from the Liberty Navy..
Whilst the Rhineland ex-Military attacks them in wings of bombers?
' Wrote:Well having been part of a group speaking to him, I can honestly report that with regard to Friday, the above is true. Wasn't open to new ideas from our player base and basically told us what was going to happen to us. Thoroughly disappointed.
Whom do you represent? Ahh the Corsairs of course!
Don't be shy now - come and share with the community your 'ideas'. Make a new topic for it if you like.
Then you can be 'thoroughly disappointed' at the whole community...
"Whom do you represent? Ahh the Corsairs of course!"
Why, did you screw them over then?
Did you listen to them?
Or have you imposed your ideas on them as well I wonder?
Do I have to represent a faction?
They said I was a Junker a few years ago. Agmen and A&L guy among others as I recall. Bounties in Rheinland anyone?
Several years before that, it was the Unioners. Been Zoner as well somewhere in there.
Hey Friday, can't I just represent a player?
A member of this community....for whom you apparantly speak?
You know, one of the little guys who has an opinion different to yours?
One of those guys that has to play this new game?
I tried to represent the guys that got steamrollered into stuff, like it or no because someone outside the 'box' had some idea they wanted to experiment with on a faction with lesser popularity. It's easier then as I believe you know. The one thats least popular on the forums. The one that everyone likes to kick.
Happens a lot here. The people on one side of the fence refuse to see the other for some reason. They refuse to give reasons for their decisions, be it balancing or story line when the questions get tough and the great unwashed start screaming and it sinks into a slanging match at which point the people that count slink off having avoided all the hard questions.
Just up and change the context and make them accept it. That seems to be the get go here.
As for being thoroughly disappointed with the whole community, you speak for them do you?
Really?
It's my experience that during my time here, many in the community seemed to think I often had a point. Whether it justified a change or not, my points often found both popularity and unpopularity in equal quantities from various quarters. Just not the 'right' quarters more often than not or just not enough of the right quarters.
Anyway, I sincerely do wish you, and everyone else here the very best. I have spent several very good years here and really don't wish to spoil the memory.
I'm sure that particular gem will please a lot of you...
