well i was busy fixing my tag tonight (still) when in the chat a fight ahd broke out and afterwards they was talking about weapons and one part caught my eye which was that the LSF said he had 2 Nomad cannons
now when i first hear the name 'LSF' i instantly think of a law-enforcment agency much like the Navy or Police and surly that would mean that they have to confiscate Nomad technology from people ranging from the Nomads to their superior brains but then that would also have to include Nomad weapons wouldent it? because for all i know the LSF who is using Nomad weaponry could very well be a Wild infiltrating the ranks of the LSF
surely they are not allowed to use Nomad technology? i am also pretty darn sure that all the other House Police/Navy/Law Enforcment agency are not allowed to use them either but if the LSF are allowed to use them howcome none of the other house law Police/Navy/Military factions can?
In my view, the LSF could use them, but they wouldn't. It substantiates rumours of them experimenting with Nomad technology in Zone 21. Also, there are likely safety risks with Nomad weaponry that they might not want.
I was always under the impression that Nomad weapons weren't actually the real deal. More like adapted technology, weapons based on their design, or something like that. Meaning if you have Nomad guns, you actually have weapons based on Nomad tech. It makes sense since you really couldn't mount actual Nomad guns on a conventional ship.
As for police and the like using them, I'd probably consider that OORP. The LSF is another story, they could have certain units with the new tech for fighting in Nomad space, or against the Order, etc. So to me that would be acceptable.
I had a Nomad cannon for a while. (about 20 min) before it got blown off in a duel with a smuggler.

Well I'm inclined to sit on both sides. While I certainly think its a bit cheap to use almost completely nomad weapon load outs, the description does state that it is a human attempt at hybrid technology. That being said there would be members of the house militaries with access to these weapons testing them.
What needs to be decided upon is at point do we define an OORP load out with regards to the subject of adapted Nomad technology in a military super power.
