To Remilia try version 1.1.0.6 and enable the box "Force aggressive API detection "
This works. Thanks.
P.S. Just to note what is this for: Then your fps is locked to 60 activating the fraps video record drops it down to ~25 which is simply unplayable. With fps lock removed I can record on ~60-70 fps which is fine.
*sigh* Well since everyone is now flying above 60 FPS to gain better aim and mini-jitter, I guess I'll be getting Radeon Pro aswell to keep up with the "curve."
You guys do know that when a higher FPS player fights against a lower FPS player that the guy on the lower end will have a much harder time hitting you, while on your end he flies smoother than he's dodging (making your shots "better")?
P.S. You need to have a really shitty PC to run a game such as FL with low fps to be honest.

Have you tried altering your fraps settings so it records with 60 FPS ?
Oh well i tested different FPS settings yesterday. It seems even with 170 fps there are micro lags also known as "jitter".
When you use Radeon Pro please limit your FPS at 165 fps for the sake of fairplay.. To be honest it doesnt increase your ability to aim with 2.00er. As for 4.00er and 8.33er my aiming quote was a little better (but still measurable). Didnt test in group combat yet.

At 60FPS my game (Freelancer) is good, well actually running "smoothly" comparing to 180fps. Also, let me quote something:

There is no doubt that players with HIGH FPS have advantage in PvP!
Fighting with 60 fps vs 170 fps player makes for you similar thing like thing called "mouse lag" and that player is significantly faster in turns and avoiding rockets, mines...
When fight is limited to 60 fps for both players (with common.dll hack) that fight cant last longer than 30-40 sec! You in that situation rarely miss cose player is slower and guns hit target!
With FPS rised fight, its longer, faster, more agile, which is wrong! Simply, the physics of the game are spoiled. 60 FPS is a must!
So, to be specific, how can be game limited stable to 60 FPS?
Sry, but adoxa's finding does this, but I must confess that its not working perfectly. Players with good and bad PC specs have same issue. When they join server their FPS drop down to 30 FPS, and when they start recording it rise to 60. Having game below 60 FPS makes laggy feels. In most cases, it works, but when it does not, they lose interest to play a buggy server - mod.

Na honestly dont think they turn any faster but yea, missiles do hit a way better. I think unlocking FPS should be forbidden. Easy solution. The most of the so called "PvP elite" do it anyway. I for myself unlocked VSYNC again.
No need to use hocus-pocus to increase my fighting capability...
lol, there is no biggie between 60 and 160 anyway for a human eye.
If you're so up for going fullretard then lets ban widescreen monitors as well (rofl)
If you have the latest drivers installed, slide the "Wait for vertical refresh" to always on (quality).
That will ensure that your FPS is in line with your screen refresh rate (set it to 75, you won't have issues with that anymore).
In the case you are using an incompatible driver (when you alt+tab or whatever your game goes above 180), hit Win+L and select your user again. This will force your video card driver to re-load every piece of video feed currently running on your PC (including FL) and your game will have it's FPS capped to the screen refresh rate again.
