"Well, Richard," he began patting him on the shoulder, "if this is where we're going to be awhile then I plan to do some work outside the ship. I did, after all, bring a fighter even if I'm a horrible fighter pilot."
The waitress passed by again and he stopped her, taking yet another glass and shooting it down, placing the empty glass back on the tray.
"When I return, Young Lady, we should play some Doctor/Patient."
It was obvious he liked her.
He then turned to Richard, "I have work to do. I'll be in my snub craft."
Within a half hour, he floated away from the Barrell.Roll

Doc walked through the airlock after docking his ship. It had been a long, difficult but productive day and he had the headache to go with it.
A venture into Tohoku got him contact with the K'Hara. He had been right for some time, the K'Hara were largely misunderstood. Still, for him, it was but a beginning. He had to think of ways to make happen what he promised to do. He also had to make it believable, understandable and hopefully not have anyone kill him for it.
He made his way to his quarters. Normally, he wouldn't complain but with a pounding headache, it seemed like forever. He carried his gear in one hand, rubbing his temple with the other. Finally, he entered his quarters and locked the door. He called up to the command bridge.
"Don't disturb me for awhile," he ordered, "I need to get rid of this headache and rest."
He gave himself a pain killer and lay down, just looking up at the ceiling. For some reason, he felt green grass beneath him. It was comfortable and relaxing.
"I've felt this somewhere before," he thought to himself. He used the comfort to think of ways to re-start the work he abandoned long ago. Nomads, cardamine, given up on but now he had a chance to start again.....but where to find the clues he needed?
As he lay, the grass grew brown. He wasn't comfortable anymore. His headache seemed to throb more. He woke up screaming. In his haste, he gave himself another pain killer. The injector falling to the floor, he passed out.
