Not like 5 pvpwhores on bombers can finish fleet of battleships. Originaly you would need 5 on each battleship (and that can be fixed by removing snac and putting more effords in Novas. Would also solve problem of bombers instantkilling fighters).
If we go too deep in this discussion I would advise to make all caps SRPed or even restricted to official factions. Would make point of joining and even making them.
But it's not a topic theme. What I want to hear is why no one give a damn about this kind of stuff? I am not talking only about spazzy's thing. It's also about RM ided BHG and kusari ships (other then Project"Dragon"), LN ided BHG battleships, BHG ided LN ships and other stuff that have no RP background and no point of existance.
5..bombers on a BS?..instead of 2?
Ok..that could be done, but then we will have to balance that since everyone will fly a bs in the end and it's not that hard to buy one,so..limits on how many BS can be purchased for every faction..5 sounds just about right because you will need 25 bombers or more to take them out..??
Hmm..that doesnt sounds right either,so 1 BS[1 Flagship] per faction sounds more balanced
But then the thread will be about why i can't buy a cap rather than why i can't buy x cap..
--------------------
snac instead of novas? i see..this thread sounds more and more of why i can't kill someone in pvp or why did that pirate just pirated me and not the other guy that just managed to flee through the lane..
"..no RP background.." i believe most of them have a story behind but not all of players will stay to tell it over and over just so you can escape *period*
People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..
As I said. Nerfing bombers should lead to lowering numbers of caps. To to it, either someone with enough power and sense of responsibility should watch this, or making caps restricted to official faction or SRPed only. This way, you can make official faction more "wanted", keep cap numbers under control, considering lore, avoid lolwuts flying caps and such.
And this thread going away from main theme only because you're moving it this way. I asked my question, but no one answered it so far.

Excuse me, I will stop you right there.
It is not about "Five pvpwhores using bombers to kill any cap", mate.
If you use five of ANYTHING, you get good results out of anything. Just saying. You cannot balance numbers.

At first I thought this was a real discussion topic, but then I could easily see it turning into people ranting about how they got killed and how they could've easily countered that kill..but you didn't, so shut it, really.
Also for the original idea in the topic.
IMO, it's extremely stupid and does nothing but put a limit on whatever RP we have left in discovery.
Quote:Another example would be Knjaz's Project:"Dragon", which I thought had a fairly decent backstory but of course caused trouble with the Liberty, Kusari and Rheinland governments. With the RP behind it I'd think that warrants 'acceptable rebuilding and operation' so it could be repaired and have 90% core, but Rheinland would be allowed to FR5 it so it would have to be supplied by those secretly supporting it (rather than RNC openly laughing at [RM]'s orders) and find somewhere else to dock.
Actually, ever since Dragon got "officially" outlawed I avoided landing on Rheinland affiliated bases, so that's definitely not a problem in case of Dragon. (did that few times, though, for short durations.). Another reason why I don't base it in Dortmund or any other Rheinland lawful installation is because it's base is supposed to be hidden from the eyes of general public, unless situation demands, and Braunschweig or Schatten does not have a MOX selling point.
Sorry for going offtopic, just wanted to point some things out.
Temka, if you are going to post a thread addressing a problem within the server, please have enough leeway to allow people to disagree with you, without instantly starting to yell at them. That is called a Discussion.
Anyway, just to place my two cents here. ID and IFF and Ship mismatching were around from ye oldie times, when most people flew sabres, eagles and used corsair pulse cannons and nomad blasters. Since the server took a much more RP approach, these things have been gradually reduced, until the recent implementation of the nerf chart, which instead of our old tech chart, did not simply forbid a ship combination, but made such combinations a use-at-your-own-risk thing.
In other words, some groups had legitimate roleplay behind their actions and could not fit within their ID restrictions. That was the whole point of mixing ships, IDs and IFFs.
Temka, you must understand that all of the servers RP eventually leads to player interaction in the form of PVP. Because it is a PVP server with an RP immersion. If you want a safe, controlled environment to have pure RP in, then stick to the RP section on the forums. If you play on the server, you must understand that because of rule and game limitations, there will always be some sort of such problems.
My personal opinion on this is that all ingame actions should be accompanied by ingame consequences dealt by the rest of the gaming community. Back in 84, a lot of people used corsair salamanca turrets on their freelancer transports for the sake of having a PVP advantage over other gear. They got shot by anyone hating the corsairs. Simple as that. There was no need for rules or tech charts, they were simply dealt with ingame via guns.
The reason I personally chose the corvo, is because not only I like how the ship looks like, I simply like cruisers. I collect and fly them. Whether I use an ID fit for that ship or not, again, is up to me and people like you have no saying in the matter. It is my choice as a player on the server.
If you are worried about people using OP combos without RP, then I should again remind you of this. Any and all RP on the server, is an excuse for either PVP or getting money for said PVP.
That said, I suggest you also do not confuse people using ships with their ally or neutral IDs and people who shoot their OWN IDs with their own ships. There is a difference.

Guess you're gonna be spammed by "if you want PvP go to PvP server" peeps lol
No, really. Because half of the server population more or less acts this way.
I really used to think that Disco is a hardcore RP server, but it is not.
People who like RP cannot gain the needed level of immersion ingame.
Disco is not meant to have SUCH a level of RP. All it can do is give some background to usual PVP fights.
Funnily enough I have tried to tell myself otherwise for a few years now. Sort of gave up now and am just palying the game for fun.
