As we are talking guns and gun lines still..... el mighty Blodo foreshadowed that there is a solid chance for a proper second Corsair gunline....that might or might not be similar to the Kraken - Wyrm diversity?

Yes.

We decided to wait and see how would the new changes to both Sair* and Cast guns and gear works out before jumping the gun on that one.
* And Gaians, and Hogs, and FA, and Unioners, and Civilian. D'oh... Don't you already have access to enough variety of guns?

Ah well,i am sure that i am not the only greedy player who always wants more stuff
But for fairness sake, safe for the Civvie guns all Corsair alternatives are lower DPS guns of the same speed and refire as the Salas, combined with the core nerf...so not an alternative at all. Also, the OC do have access to a broad spectrum outside their line + the civvie stuff as well, so that doesn`t really work as an argument either.
So it is kinda like the neglected ugly stepchild kind of thing - or....the Salas get so amazing i never ever want any other gun again, then i would keep my trap shut of course
I think most folks would be very happy to keep slowish 4.00 er salas with a big oomph(and hopefully an E/s rebalancing) and a LF/HF/group/chasefighting VHF gun with proper projectile speed.

"LF/HF/group/chasefighting VHF gun with proper projectile speed." Gaian guns. Enough said. Corsair line has the powerplant to play with it.
Or Flashies.
Titan Flashie is the baus.

well, you can put it like that: personally, i don't like workarounds - if our evil twin mirror-faction doesn't have to resort to civvie or borrowed tech, why should the overtly proud on their own tech sairs have to use it?

That is the thing. Gun balance takes in account several factors like in what ships they are used, prime contenders, the works. Lore also. But, Outcasts, as the example you used, have 4.00's and 3.03's. Those are not chasing weapons. The Krakens, as Aerelm said in the balance logs, are going to get to be like the remaining particle guns, 650ms. Wyrms will stay at 700ms. Corsairs have better deshielders, and if need be, can use flashies at 100% core, which is actually epic on Titan core.
You, personally, don't like workarounds. Yet i fail to see your point and reasons if you are lobbying for a new Corsair high refire high speed chaser weapon.

Projectile speed on gunboat primary turrets have been reduced to around 1000ms.
Speeds on Cerbs, Pulses and Razors are unaffected. Solaris turrets might need a little tweak as well.
P.S: Contrary to the rumor some people have been spreading for a while, gunboat turrets are not getting a damage nerf.
So.... Light Gunboats will rule everything now? Able to dodge even other Gunboat turrets. The Imperator and it's 8 turrets will be no match anymore for anything light and small as it's 8 turrets fly by the rear end of any dodgy Gunboat.
Slowing turret speed will make Light Gunboats just as hard to kill for everything else, and even HARDER to kill with other Gunboats...
