Ok today i have a new question It is about the barge.
Is the barge really only given by the admins?
And if not how can i get one?
I'm not skilled enough in RP to ask and or apply for the barge so it does make me quite sad.
The only reason i want it is to be able to carry massive amounts of cargo in it.
Even do some trade contracts with it.
But also it is a waste to see such a beautiful ship not used by anyone anymore even exist if it is nearly impossible to get.
Oh and can it use jump gates and or jump holes?
I don't care about trade lanes.

It will cost you about 10 billion credits, and yes, it can use gates and holes, it takes skill to do so though.
But, as someone who has access to a Barge and has flown it many times, you don't want to trade in it.

I'm sure there are some people out there who are inactive with a Barge. After a while, I guess the ship'll be inactiv-wipe. I guess you can advertise in the sales section asking if anybody would want one, but don't get your hopes up.
Oh and if you want to trade in it. I can sum up the Barge in 4 words: Fifteen Minute Cruise Charge.
So unless you want to wait 15 minutes to allow it to charge cruise and subsequently screw around for half an hour trying to get into a Jump Gate, I suggest just getting a 5ker. A 5ker will earn you more money and is less frustrating to handle.

Yeah but there might be a few people looking to get rid of their barge's and would like someone to buy, But i doubt they would advertise that because i have seen too many people hating the barge personally i don't mind how long it takes to move system to system especially if all your carrying is plat ore or something like that. Plus it can serve as a mini-mobile base too.

Barge moves at 25ms on impulse and 90ms on cruise. It also takes 5 minutes to charge its cruise engines, and can't even dock with planets |(Well, technically it can, but you'll just die upon undocking). It easily gets bumped around by other ships and also gets stuck in asteroid fields worse than any other ship. You can check the Barge wiki page for more info.
I suggest you buy one in single player and try doing your intended route on it at least once, then you'll realize why spending cash for that ship is such a waste. The only thing it's good for is having one on a player base as emergency supplies ship, but other than that, you're better off trading in a 5k.

I still would find it sad and upsetting that the ship is still in the game and existance but it is never used.
It's a very big waste in my opinion for such a ship to not be used.

The reason why it has been nerfed up to the point with slow cruise and such is because too many people were making way too much money by trading with it. Which is ridiculous. It should be used as a RP platform, storage externally for bases or whatever, NOT for trading.
And it's still used by some people, in the way described above. They are absolutely fracked up to fly, believe me, I've thrown objects through the room attempting to fly one.
It's no longer used on a large scale because it's relic of a time when player bases were not yet available.
Barge back in 4.85 was intended to be used as a stationary depot or (InRP) faction base of operation. However, with player bases added, that purpose can be fulfilled without the troubles of the Barge. Sure, having a ship with 40k cargo is tempting, but not with Barge's awful handling. That ship is not as useful as you may think, and hence, not as much of a waste.
