Hi so I have been wondering about this before. It seems that when I am in turret view and shoot at things (I've noticed it when I shoot at Neutrals and Allies, it might happen with red targets too, but I am not so sure) the guns either end up shooting at the camera, i.e. the exact opposite direction of what I am targeting, or it shoots at a point in space just in front of the targeted ship, so all shots miss.
As you can see in the two screenshots I am on target at point blank range, but all projectiles (the green ones) miss, as if they are focused on a target right in front of the ship.
Does this have to do with targeting friendlies/neutrals? And can I do something my side to help fix the problem?
It's some sort of oddity with the zoom function. As far as I know, all you can do about it is simply not zoom out so far, keep it at a moderate distance. 3 or so ticks zoomed out shouldn't create that buggy aim while still leaving a good enough accuracy.
The problem shouldn't occur when it's a hostile target, though.
