This is Marshall Greene, Cryer employed transport commander, contacting both of your agencies in response to a suspicious event earlier in the day. The situation transpired as follows: The Travis was picking up several supply shipments from planet California Minor during a standard run out to Cambridge. As we were docking we took note of a Gateway ship in the distance, the Oceana, entering the icefields. Brief communications were exchanged before the Travis moored to take on supplies. Upon undocking, the Oceana was gone, however, we made contact with the vessel again when we were going through the trade lane, she was traveling on cruise speed near the lane. A brief cargo scan of the vessel as we passed her revealed large numbers of unregistered explosives and warheads which do not appear to have been tagged with IC's universal cargo registry.
Now I do realize that Bretonia is locked in a bloody war with the invading Gallic forces, however, as far as I know Gateway is not contracted as an arms suppler for the Bretonian government. For this reason I have also chosen to send this message to the BPA in an effort to validate the legal status of this vessel's cargo.
If this action is in fact not sanctioned by Bretonia and Liberty I would like to ask that the reckless endangerment of civilian shipping near the lanes by an otherwise lawful company be stopped as soon as possible. I can not think of a more dangerous thing than a cargo train full of unregistered explosives and ammunition flying erratically around the trade lanes.
Cpt. Marshall Greene,
The sales of illegal arms within Bretonia has significantly increased recently, despite the best efforts of the BPA. Such munition types are still considered highly illegal to bring into Bretonia, even for citizens of Bretonia. While the BPA will keep a close eye on future Gateway activity they have not committed any crime within the borders of Bretonia, any charges pressed will have to come from the LPI.
You commitment and dedication in upholding the law is appreciated, a finders fee will be transferred to you shortly.
Regards,
Lady Kensington

INCOMING TRANSMISSION, NN NO. #7993245 Sender: Deputy Chief Colin Sinclair, on behalf of Liberty Police, Inc. Location: Red Deer II, Alberta Subject:Re: Contraband shipments
Evening, Mr. Greene. After some consideration I've chosen to act on your report and send an official complaint and a fine to the offices of Gateway. In light of this I've got a very simple question for you; would we have your consent for forwarding those cargo scans as evidence in case Gateway or their lawyers request it? Without this it is a bit difficult for us to proceed any further. We would rather not use them without your consent, as we'd rather not have your lawyers on our necks either.
PS: And, just for clarification; Gateway's smuggling of black market munitions is absolutely not sanctioned by Liberty, with emphasis on smuggling.
-Colin Sinclair, Deputy Chief of the Liberty Police, Inc.
Good morning, Chief Kensington, Deputy Chief Sinclair,
You may of course use these cargo scans and my own testimony in any legal action you wish to pursue. I will assure you that Cryer will offer their full cooperation in this case, public health and safety is a paramount concern for our company after all.
Additionally, Chief Kensington, I would like to personally thank you again for the finders fee. The money is being put towards the Cambridge Research Institute, specifically this will go towards funding the cooperative project with Planetform which addresses the problems on Planet Carlisle.
