Use of Console Messages?

Ok, edited as per suggestions above. Now only 4, not 5 messages.

One per hour? Then each message is displayed 6 times per day. Should do, right?

I like this idea...

I'm 100% for it.

But in addition to the messages about the factions, there should be a console message encouraging people to visit the forums.

There already is one. It says something like this.

"Discovery has a forum, and we strongly suggest you check it out"

Not excatly like that but its the same idea.

I saw a few of these console messages on, but none recently.

They being used?

I know the whole interface is changed, and other newer messages generated. These lost in the shuffle?

I think it's better to encourage people to see forums and factions listed in there, so there they can look for the faction they will find fitting to their ideas/characters, that instead of giving a bunch of abbreviations that for most of the part aren't going to tell much to a new player anyway. Thing is we know what those factions are, but those who just came in perhaps not. Also the fact that faction come and go.
