Jump Gate Turrets

I figured this probably needs its own thread:

let's put gate weapons back to a reasonable level of strength again. Cruiser DPS coming out of those when you're trying to pirate is irritating and really not needed. Your piracy victim jumps through the gate? Say goodbye to a portion of your hull by default once you're through as you wait to actually be allowed to move your ship out of the firing line of the gate.

On top of that, they were bad enough last version for being indestructible weapons platforms for people to camp in PvP even without the DPS they have now.

Interested to hear others' opinions on this. Discuss.

We (Specifically me and my group of friends) have gone over this many times, and our resolution is:

Jumpgates OP, devs pls fix thx.

In other words. Jumpgates are way too strong, I've died coming out of one in a pirate, and not all systems are easily accessable via jumpholes. It's especially hard when chasing someone down, they jump through and you're sprayed down in seconds.

Lower their strength.

Send them back to hell, then package them with turtle mail and fly it on Ryanair to snake island.
If you didn't get it from my cynical statement, I loath jump gate turrets. They have always been a large source of tears because they interfere with everyone gaming experience. You can guess how I felt when they were buffed.
I want them revereted at least. I would love it if jump gates lose their turrets.

They are fine, they need not be changed -_-
I can live just fine by one as I pirate, just try dodging.
They are made to kill pirates....so what's wrong with that? You could try not pirating by a gate if you hate it so much.
The government of the houses want to make there space as safe as possible, so they put there best guns as possible on the gates.
And this is coming from someone that pretty much flys only pirates >_>

They have border stations for safe hause space..
Piracy is what I do, I can dodge the gates fire but not when Im writing.
So OP JG weapoms = good dodging = no writing

That is true it can be hard to write when it's shooting...BUUUUUT...wait for it....there are blind spots on the gates
In front of it no pulse guns can get you, around in the gate nothing can shoot you, and there might be others (haven't looked) so use those for a safe place
