20130729 I began my patrol down in Shikoku, checking out the Keiun cloud. There were just two lonesome pirates, probably hoping for some lost traders, who were easily dispatched. Nothing else of import happened, and so I continued my patrol to Kyushu and finished there.
20130731 Today I conducted my patrol in the Honshu system, then on to New Tokyo, where I spend some time training with two other officers. I realise I still have a lot to learn, and I appreciate the lessons. Afterwards, I continued on to Honshu then to the Hiroshima system. As expected, there was nothing to report. I headed back to Planet New Tokyo.
20130801 I was taking my ease in the Tea Room when I received a message from my parents about my sister whom I have not seen in about four years. I had to leave, sir. I do apologise for the suddenness of my departure, and if this negatively affects my career, then I will wear that honourable.
I have spent the past two weeks out looking for her, but I did not meet with succcess. I had hoped to convince her to give up any criminal leaning she had developed, but my search was in vain. Rest assured, if we meet, I will do my duty.

Kusari Naval Forces.
Starting my patrol towards the borders of the Gas Miners Guilds space in Honshu, I encountered a distraught Gas Miner by the name of Yuki Kizo. He told of Outcasts lingering around Naha and causing trouble in Sigma-13, as the Guild seemed a little understaffed on security forces.
On direct call for assistance, a small fleet of Naval Forces ships launched to support the Gas Miners at Naha then. In detail, also joining were vessels Doragonfaito and Okina of the secondary forces. The Outcasts at Naha turned out to be a cruiser class vessel and a bomber. With our battleship support, they stood little chance and were dispatched of quickly. After some words thanking for the assistance of the Kusari Naval Forces, we returned to Kusari space. Sub-Lieutenant Otsuka san joined slightly too late and could not take part in the battle.
Joined by fellow Sub-Lieutenant Taiyouji san and Captain Takata san, the patrol then proceeded towards the Kyushu System and further into Tau-23, to assist our overburdened friends to actually bring a halt to the smuggling and slavery there. Meeting a wealth of Commonwealth Zoners and an undisclosed vessel, it turned out the be fairly quiet there, yet lively, for the moment.
Returning to Kyushu, we encountered the odd people of the so called GST again. There has been an unusual case of loitering around New Tokyo by one of their members prior to this, so we had a closer eye on them, and not in vain. They were in a convoy of two freighters, the [GST]-Reliant and one directly under [GST]~CEO~John~Burton, accompanied by their [GST]-Security-Dempsey. We escorted them, partially to see what they were up to this time.
Starting from Planet Kyushu, they surprisingly turned to head for the Hokkaido jump hole and promptly went in. Even more surprising, they then continued further to jump into Chugoku. Slightly hesitant, we followed them even there, to see if they are collaborating with the Blood Dragons, as can be seen here:
They left Chugoku towards Sigma-13 this time, but it seems highly suspicious for them to take that kind of route, and surprisingly, they were not attacked by a single Blood Dragon. Maybe further investigation of their organization seems adequate.
On a side note, I have to make a request for not giving malfunctioning ships to pilots, as this seems highly dangerous. Misfiring weapons could even create unforseen diplomatic incidents.

Yesterday I've intercepted a smugler, trying to haul Artifacts through Kusari to Liberty space. His identification showed up that it was DSE corporate vessel.
On demand to surrender he answered with accusations of me not knowing the law, attempts to bribe and by the end - landing on the planet. Hardly any land patrol managed to catch that person.
I must apologise for my tardiness in assembling and submitting this report. I have been slack this week, my mind occupied with other things. On to my report.
I began my patrol in New Tokyo, continuing through to Shikoku. I, by chance, encountered Shizimu Tetsui-san, who had already cleared the system of any threats. He continued on, and I headed to Kyushu, then through to Hokkaido, not meeting any significant pirate presence along the way. In Hokkaido, however, I encountered a freelancer engaged with our brothers the Kusari Police. I made to check his ID, even though there were already grounds for arrest, as recorded here. After destroying the nearby pirates, I ordered him to cease and submit to escort. He refused to comply, even refusing to release the lawful pilots in his possession, as recorded here and here.
In case he had friends around, or if the situation escalated, I called for assistance from Shimizu-san, who made great speed. The freelancer attempted to escape, but was cornered by the both of us, and after refusing repeated requests for release of the pilots, he was executed by Shimizu-san, and I recorded his death here.
Afterwards, we refueled and re-armed at Sapporo Station. We continued our patrol to Rishiri, then to Nagano. We checked all the known inhabited space, planets and stations, finding nothing of interest. We returned to Rishiri, where we parted ways. Shimizu-san was having some problems with his equipment and wanted to check it thoroughly. I continued to Hokkaido then checked the jump hole to Tohoku to see if anything unwanted had come through. As there was nothing, I returned to call it a night.
On my next patrol, I decided to head out to Okinawa, encountering a Liberty Carrier piloted by a Lord.Hackera. I, mistakenly, assumed that Okinawa was a part of Kusari core space, and I challenged him on the legality of his presence. As you can see here, he called me out, and after checking the Legal Codex I admitted my error and bid him good day. I decided to continue to some of the outlying zones of influence to see if any low-lifes were taking advantage of the smaller lawful presence. I headed out to Sigma-19, then to Sigma-13, and spent some time in our House’s zone of influence, making sure not to tread too far. I returned to Sigma-19, then headed to Sigma-17. I patrolled to each of the system’s jump holes to check for any pirates, finding nothing of note. I finished my job on Planet Kurile. It’s certainly an interesting change of scenery.

Nito Kaii Shintani Kai,
Kusari Naval Forces.
This week was interesting, sir. I made some mistakes and learned from them. After returning to New Tokyo from Sigma-17, I began my patrol, very quickly encountering a trader with a ship name of Woejaru. A scan revealed he was a freelancer and carrying slaves, as shown here and here. Whilst I was sure that slaves are contraband - after all, we are a republic - I was also sure last time that Okinawa was Kusari space, so instead of making another mistake, I decided to confirm with the Kusari laws. However, I had some difficulty in accessing it, so we had traveled far by the time I challenged the trader, as shown here.
He ignored all of my requests, and so I opened fire. After that, he said he would pay the fine, and headed back to Planet Mirua, in Okinawa. When I arrived, I spotted a Blood Dragon on the radar, but he was moving away fast, and I knew I could do nothing here. I recorded it anyway, here. After waiting there a little while, his friend P7ACD1 showed up, a member of Universal shipping, as shown here.
It seems they are both slavers, and I was attacked - you can see my damage here. I requested backup, and the KDS-Takao and the Jaaku-Na responded. Just as they arrived, the ship P7ACD1 seems to have collided with the planetary atmosphere, as you can see here, and the Woejaru left the area, leaving us with not much to do.
We returned to New Tokyo, while I was taught a little more about the political relations between the KNF and other organisations that affect our patrol routes and our authority. I realise I need to be careful to only patrol in Kusari space, though I can pursue targets up to the limit of Kusari’s Zone of Influence.
I continued patrolling to Kyushu, where I encountered two traders under attack by a Blood Dragon gunboat, as I recorded here and here. Once again, I requested backup, knowing I could not do much against a gunboat on my own. One of the trader’s ships was destroyed, and I was barely holding out. Thankfully, the KDS-Takao returned to help, and the fight was turned to our favour. However, I was unwise in my maneuverings, and my ship was destroyed. After taking care of the Dragon, as shown here, I was picked up by the KDS-Takao and taken to New Tokyo to recover.
I learned a lot of things in a short time. The most important lesson, I believe, is not to hesitate because I fear making mistakes. This leads to lost, or enslaved, lives.
I do have one request, though, sir. As I am often patrolling on my own, and I have seen time and again that many of our enemies use much larger ships that my Chimaera can handle, I would like to be able to fly something bigger. I understand it requires more rank and responsibility than I currently possess - could I be instructed in what I should work towards to achieve this?

Bringing to your attention my report about our last patrol to Tau sector.
Three days ago I aboard of Destroyer Akisame, together with several escort wings, containing Taiyouji Jiro, Shizuku Yin and Tokataii agent "Kiyohime" have left Kyushu system in order to patrol Kusari borders.
Nothing unusual except of few pirates were spoted in Tau 29 and Tau 23 systems. As one of escort pilots said, the new singularity have openned in Tau 37, so using the moment we decided to check that rumour. By this time another Toketaii agent "Akuma" have joined our group.
In Tau 37 we very quickly found a new singularity, but before I managed to reach it and sent a probe, Akuma-san ignoring the orders to not jump have used that hole. It appeared to lead to Nagano system, and for the first moment Akuma-san said it was all clear. However when other forces reached the system, we got a distress signal from her, and her ship disappeared from scanners.
After a search we managed to locate the lost fighter. Most of systems were damaged, however the pilot seemed nervous when Akisame get in close. By the time rescue team reached her, she commited seppuku. But it appeared to be Sakura Akuma. We also found unconscious and bounded Akira Akuma in the cargo hold of the vessel.
Despite the attempts of my medics to revive Sakura-san, we couldn't help her. Akira-san was drugged as med expertise showed. In a while Akira-san woke up to learn about her sister's fate. Currently I transferred her to Yokohama for proper treatment, as well as body of Sakura Akuma.
Konnichiwa, during yesterdays patrol we spotted gallic transport(Le.Trafiquant.de.Drogue) moving drugs to Kyushu planet, we cannot allow such things to happen and all drugdealers must be arrested or destroyed if they try to run.

Konnichiwa, providing report about yesterday operation of transportation of nomad artifact from Rheinland to Kusari. Marked as Complete Failure
I haven't seen so much of confusion for a long time, our forces were waiting rheinland escort group near sigma-13 gate in honshu suffering from heavy ion storm interference when lone rheniland bomber jumped in without any escort carrying nomad artifact.
As we noticed later when our fighter scouted sigma-13 lanes, they lost one of escort pilots and completely abandoned escort mission and started rescue operation, after no responce on their progress on escorting we decided to move alone since we had enough forces to protect lone bomber on our own.
It's in my belief that that bomber brought with it some alien since we started to notice strange things, as presence of big object that were preventing normal movement in open space and later strange behaviour of rheinland pilot.
After arriving to Kansai reserach station rheinland pilot completely lost his mind, he started to shout in his communications for some time, not responding to our calls to him and in the end not transfering artifact to us but ejecting it and after a moment it disappeared.
It's unbeliveable how rheinlanders could screw up so much, they didn't escorted ship as planned, probably allowed to alien come with them from rheinland, also why they decided to place it in hands of one pilot who in the end went crazy and screwed up all mission.
It's only my thoughs, but if they all the time doing their operations like this, it's no wonder they are loosing to libertonians.
Konbanwa, command. Nito Kaii Jiro Taiyouji reporting.
I've been away from duty for a while because of another injury, so I thought I'd write in the patrol report to make up for it.
820-11-18 1905 SMT
Patrol NT-19-A consisted of three Nito Kaii, myself, Teta Nakamura-san and Ujisato Gamo-san. Nakamura-san was elected to be in the charge of operation.
820-11-18 1922 SMT
After a brief tour around the system, Nakamura-san found an Outcast Gunship which was heading towards Honshu jump hole. Nakamura-san alerted the rest of the patrol as she tailed the Gunship, transponder ID ' CPT.Parros ', while we rushed to the Jump Gate to cut in front of it.
820-11-18 1925 SMT
The threat was under our control. It refused to halt, so the engagement started.
820-11-18 1929 SMT
The threat was neutralized, with only its debris remaining. Our wing continued to patrol Honshu system.
820-11-18 1937 SMT
A Corsair Cruiser was right next to the trade lanes between Planet Honshu and Yukawa Shipyard. The reserve Cruiser, KDS-Akisame, was called to reinforce our patrol from Kyushu system where it was docked.
820-11-18 1944 SMT
After a brief chat with the Corsair Cruiser, transponder ID ' [BL]Darkstar ', it started to fire at us. So we replied back with our own fire.
820-11-18 1945 SMT
KDS-Akisame under the command of Tetsuo Shimizu-san reached to the engagement zone and targeted the Corsair Cruiser.
820-11-18 1948 SMT
Corsair Cruiser was destroyed. A recorded message stream threatened us with retaliations.
820-11-18 1949 SMT
We were directed to Shikoku system after the reports of pirate activity. Supposedly there were two pirate bombers, most probably affiliated to the Lane Hackers. KDS-Akisame headed to New Tokyo, in reserve in case we'd need support again.
820-11-18 1954 SMT
We entered Shikoku. Operative Aya Shameimaru-san joined our patrol. Soon after, we've recieved further updates that the threats headed out of Shikoku and to Kepler system. We gave chase.
820-11-18 2010 SMT
Intense Ion Storms making it hard to operate in Kepler system. Our search was fruitless. We flew back into Shikoku system, and returned to the default patrol waypoint.
820-11-18 2015 SMT
Ion Storms continue to trouble our systems. KDS-Akisame and Operative Shameimaru-san headed to Kyushu to check up on reported Farmer Alliance activity. Patrol NT-19-A headed back into Honshu to continue from where we left off.
820-11-18 2030 SMT
A transmission recieved from the Rheinland Military, about the shipment that'd have to be escorted to Kansai Research Station. Command was alerted to make the necessary arrangements.
820-11-18 2035 SMT
Patrol NT-19-A disbanded. Ships reallocated to the command of Admiral Toshizo Hijikata-sama, to prepare for the Rheinlander visit.
Due to the unusual encounter I will forward this report directly to you, sir. Also, I have to apologize for the delayed report, as there was quite some activity recently.
The patrol started a little early at 820-11-17, 1825 SMT due to a call from Akira Akuma san, having spotted Outcasts in the middle of New Tokyo. Since their force consisted of a destroyer, a bomber and a fighter, we were also accompanied by Tokketai operative 'Harutsuki', Commander Shimizu san and Commander Shizuku, also taking command, and a rookie Sub-Lieutenant, Shimoe san.
Right after contact with the Outcasts group between New Tokyo and Shinjiku, my instruments seemed far off, and assuming a severe malfuction, I started retreating to New Tokyo already. There I actually came across KPT Commander Motoya, who joined our group after informing him. As the signs of malfunction disappeared as fast as they had appeared, I regarded it more important to return to the fight.
Since bringing three Umibozu into the fight, the destroyer '#tensel' was taken care of quickly, as was the bomber 'The.Ancient.Mystery'. After Shimoe san was slightly unable to win his dogfight with the remaining fighter 'MoneyMagnet', Shizuku san ordered 'Harutsuki' and me to engage him as well what he could not survived.
After the Outcast threat was taken care of, the remaining patrol, 'Harutsuki', Shizuku san, Commander Shimizu san and myself, turned towards Shikoku and split up to go to Galileo and Kepler respectively. After meeting up at Ames station, we were sent on an assignment by operative 'Harutsuki', who accepted a mission from Myoko. So we had to intercept a number of tertiary Lane Hacker forces in Galileo.
After emerging out of those dark clouds again, we picked up communications by the Liberty Navy, who had also entered Galileo for reasons unknown to us at that moment. Until Commander Shimizu san discovered a huge alien vessel of purple design near the trade lanes. While we assumed the Liberty forces would assist us with this unknown threat, they actually just idled aimless like, pardon me there, the filthy gaijin they are. So we intercepted the huge alien vessel, trying to find out its intentions. After short it became apparent that it was in a way hostile and opened fire with its purple weapons.
Since Commander Shimizu san was the only one with a bomber craft, escorted by chimaeras, we called for support. Shizuku san left and later returned aboard his battle cruiser KDS Hyuga, trying to outmaneuver the larger alien vessel. From his reports it became apparent in retrospect that the upgrades to his engines greatly reduced KDS Hyugas agility, and so they were only able to damage the purple vessel, but being unable to move properly, KDS Hyuga got severely damaged too and eventually unable to continue the fight.
With only one bomber, but luckily civilian pilot 'Henry_Miller' joining with his fighter, we had a very hard time of slowly wearing down the huge purple vessel. Owing to everyone's continued fearless fight against the alien purple, especially Commander Shimizu sans, we finally could remove this threat from Galileo without fuirther losses. It is unclear if the Liberty vessels present in the distance actually took part in this.
Also, I compiled all available information collected on the purple vessel for you, Nagata sama, and will send them to you in a separate stream.
After this, I was assigned to another patrol. While Shizuku san, rescued from KDS Hyuga, and Commander Shimizu san remained on standby in New Tokyo, I followed 'Harutsuki', who was joined by her operative 'Master' 'Hakutaku' and another Tokketai operative callsigned 'Kuromaguro'.
The patrol headed out far into the Sigmas to make a visit to Planet Kurile operated by our Samura san. It was relatively uneventful, and while the Tokketai continued their patrol, my duty ended at 820-11-17, 2110 SMT.
