it's fairly obvious we all went above and beyond regardint this story line. Granted, for a few it was a first. For others, it's nothing new.
However, might i make a suggestion/
From here on out.. if a RP story is begun... unless you're directly involved in some way, fashion, or form...
STAY OUT OF IT
This simple rule could avoid all this mess. Sam had already involved Kane.. she and I had discussed privately my involvement. Now I dont know about the rest of you, but this story quickly did not make any sense, especially from the AW/RM side.
If i'm keeping score, BOTH FLEETS HAVE BEEN LITERALLY DECIMATED. Meaning, if there's gonna be a real-life war between RM and AW and Phantom.. all three will decimate eachother. Why?
Cause the battles taking place are RIDICULOUS. No one has as many reserves as you're spewing out, Dab.. you're more or less a band of rogues, not a full fledge battle-hardened house faction with infinite resources at your disposal. Also, you're using the term "Battlegroup" in conjunction with a Rheinland Fleet. That is a really good way to screw yourself up, bud.
But I'm not even gonna go there.
That entire thread has gone really awkard. It was going so well.. then everyone has to throw their side of the story in. So.. lets follow this simple rule.. Unless you're directly involved, or the story master (for lack of a better term) asks you to get involved.. don't bother posting (That includes EVERYONE on the forum).
I don't think Igiss, Korrd and I wanna start regulating RP threads, so lets not go anywhere near that Ok?

When it comes to stories especially for forums my suggestion is to let the main writer decide where things go in terms of storyline. Adding a small part to a story is okay, example my post I added a small element to the story (nomads aboard the AW vessels and the loss of a couple of no name gunboats). However, I didn't suddenly take over the storyline and force things to go a certain way, which is the way several of the AW posts appeared to be going.
If you are not the main writer in a story, best is either to stay out of it or if you really want to get involved PM the main writer your ideas and get permission to become involved.
Well I had never really planned to take the chanceller... I recalled the commandos to take care of the Black Legion. I was actually waiting for whatever Virus was going to do the minute I saw his post. Then we were going to retreat before his large force. And you guys are saying I hadn't lost a single ship in the Unknown battle but if you read closely I lose alot of gunboats, cruisers, and fighters. And Nightfall's entire BSA got destroyed.
And I keep seeing this post from Wolfpack about how we couldn't have nearly as many resources as a house government. That really angered me. Now the houses, yes they have trade between each other to boost economy but they have to use alot of that for government stuff. Not only military. Plus most mineral fields have already been mined out in the couple centuries that the houses have been occupied. Omicrons have been relatively untouched so there are countless mineral fields that we could use. And since we don't have an actually government to govern or anything of that kind we can focus every bit of money we get from those countless mineral deposits towards a military. Just because a faction doesn't live in what you, quite arrogantly, clasify as "house" space and "house" factions doesn't mean a faction can't be just as strong as one. Every battleship mentioned in my posts actually exists. And there are even ones I didn't mention. And then another thing about Rheinland being so much stronger than us. Remember the Nomad war? Rheinland lost half of it's fleet during that time. Then more of it during the RP of the coup against the Rheinland chancellery. Then yet again have been fighting Liberty. AW out in the Omicrons with neutral standings with the pirates has not been plagued by any (RP) wars or pirate attacks. Where Rheinland has been targeted by many pirates, wars, and terrorist attacks. And then there is the mercenary business of ours, which would cost a ton due to the size and firepower we can supply. Bringing yet even more income that we could use completely on military forces.
And I wasn't planning to "hijack" Angel's thread. I was at first just asking what they were doing in Gamma (and Kane saying anything about a Sig-17 JH to there really kinda messed up alot of stuff. It implied that they had either traveled through Theta, and at first confused me and I thought he had a 2nd fleet.) and he didn't tell me. Then I tried helping him against the Nomads with a scanner able to detect them, but he "somehow" knew where they were then "cloaked and pulled away." So I countered him.
And now the stuff about the battlegroups and fleets stuff. From the way I use fleet in my posts it is clear that when I say fleet it means the entire AW. And when I used battlegroups and how they were being shifted (1-2 per system I even said) it was obvious that it was the equivilant term of a fleet in Rheinland. AW is not a military house faction and so we aren't forced to us the same terms for stuff.
Your saying I made giant unstoppable fleets but in the posts, but I said that one in unknown was battlegroups from two whole systems and leaving those with just skeleton crew defenses. The unknown fleet was actually still bigger and was one fleet from ONE system. So I had to pull more stuff from more places to even get close to their fleet that was average sized for them. And my biggest fleet the Enterprise fleet was dwarfed by the size of the biggest Rheinland fleet, only half the size infact.
But you are complaining about my using large forces and even what terms I use for a fleet when Kane used a cloaking device that Rheinland would not have and would never let anyone know they had it if they did unless under extreme circumstances (ie such as a battle they were doomed to lose). And they used it when all that was going on was us talking. Then there is the personal cloaking for BL legionairs. Never had there been mentioned, even in the storyline of the game, about cloaking fields for troops. I had allowed it in the Mayday thread because they were Phantoms and they were supposed to have mastered cloaking technology. But the Rheinland troops never had any and should never have any.
*sigh* Fine, i'll admit, I went a little overboard. I over-reacted, and for that I apologise.
For now, what's done is done. If Sam really wanted to, she could request the whole thing (Or parts of it) be deleted and it will be as if they never happened. In the end, it's just a game. In fact, it's not even that right now, it's a story. One that can be easily edited and changed, I might add.
So, let's put this behind us and move onwards, please? Right now it's getting ugly, and we don't need more ugly.
This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren
Yes i also appologise for taking it to far i have put my ego on its leash and will try from now on to keep my posts more suited to my characters current state of mind (that is of course if you still want me to. Angel can you plz tell me cause if you want me out ill make one final post removing the Major from the station.) Anyways I have learned my lesson for when I want hijack stories in the future  .
PS only kiddin :P
I know where it is Cortana, I just have to find it. - Commodore Puddles
OK, I feel I should say something... actually I have to:
I agree with both Wolf and Firebird's ideas, we should let the "storymaster" decide on what stays and what not, "invite only" wouls be also a good way...
I don't know, it seems that lately most threads I post in get hijacked... I feel like a curse for threads
