N3 and PL forces were taken by surprise when PL's staging station dropped. The fight was during monday morning, when the USTZ (our coalition's most active tz) are working, so our forces were in a clear numerical disadvantage. Since the sov drop was a sudden thing my side was totally unprepared for it, we were even more shocked that CFC dropped the hammer and fielded their titan/super fleet, something they did not do this whole war. However we stayed and fought until the battle was clearly won by the CFC/Rus Forces. The B-R fight was a huge hit to N3 and PL but the war is not over yet.

I cried a bit when that happened.
Also Savas, let's be real, it's not the fights that matter, it's the war. Like a few weeks ago when CFC got shat on by PL for that station, forgot the system. Although CFC would probably get the upperhand if the goons started playing on RAZOR's level of cap skill.
Killboard stats do not matter. Fights on the other hand, when taking place over strategic objectives like an armor timer or TCU are extremely important and should not be dismissed. In this case, the losses taken by PL have prompted them to withdraw from the war in exchange for their assets on the B-R station, this gives the CFC supercap superiority and a huge morale hit for N3. In otherwords: Fights. Matter.

The hull itself is about 80-85b, a generic fitting usually costs around 20b though usually people choose to pimp it.

This is not real thing anyway the isk money is like the american dollar, you can always print more and more as long as you have people interested in using/spending it.
Is much more fun than Freelancer and knowing the tactics of the game play and plan ahead before the fight - it gets serious.

You are never to far behind in your Skillpoints. takes 1 month to get a great frigate set fitting and kick ass in low-sec/Nullsec.
1 PLEX = 640,000,000 ISK on the markets at Jita currently.
Through that exchange, 32,000,000 ISK = $1 USD.
A Titan is roughly 70 billion ISK to construct. That's close to $2200 USD.
Very few (idiots) waste real money on capital ships to get it blown apart in the few days/ months. Most of the alliances I have been in in Null built theirs from mining as a fleet. Or having a specific corporation or 2 for mining the materials to construct it.

Really wonder what would have happened had I started to play EVE back then, since I don't quite got many problems with spreadsheetism. (Hell...I played the X-game series...can it be any worse than the excel sheets used to calculate the mega complexes?)
Nowadays I feel like it's "way too late to get into it". Also I doubt I still have the patience for it. And I had my fair share of annoyance in games already, I doubt I could stand what I heard about the EVE community nowadays anymore.
Love reading about those humongous battles though. Reading. I'd not love to be there, reading how they took HOURS to even actually jump into the battle and how the game slows down to pretty much "zero" ... I already hate that in other games, I could not stand it for such "an important fight". So...who knows. Still like reading about an epic battle and I really hope Star Citizen can come close to that (or even better: could beat it). I REALLY doubt that Star Citizen will have anything anywhere near such fights though.
Like I said before, never to late to play EVE Online. Skillpoints doesn't matter much, but what player does that affects the universe.
Indeed! Massive fights in EVE can get pretty drastic in lag since it was not announce early enough for CCP to upgrade the performance of that specified system. Just like they do to Jita.

I will love to see that coming again. I already got marked CFC Capital Ship POS's located around the Null systems.

And to be fair, Burak, the past two big capital fights PL got handed about 200 dread kills and BL's super cap fleet.

Now this is funny! Why? Now I don't play EVE but my partner at work DOES and I showed him this thread. He is a member of CFC and at this comment he said, "Well, Pandemic Legion instigated it."
Considering the expense, I'm glad I don't play EVE....nor do I have time for it.
I signed up for Eve when it was in late beta. Made a toon, walked around the spaceport, logged out. I didnt have a ship, couldnt make one at the time (dont remember why but I think they werent working yet). From what I could tell it was an asshat farm, very griefer friendly, just doesnt appeal to me really. I gotta admit though, sometimes I wonder if my account is still there, is my toon in stasis for the past 10 years, have I been earning any credits, etc.
