There's this TV show called "DaVinci's Demons" Whose main theme is written by Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, ect) ...Anyway, the theme is pretty damn epic, but I'm working up to what actually makes it more epic than epic. First, just take a listen:
Now, the truly cool thing about this theme song is that McCreary wrote it as an homage to DaVinci's ability to 'mirror write' ...The tune is palindromic, meaning that the music is damn near identical when played backwards as when played forwards.

Listened to this off my stereo set the other day whilst fighting Reavers. Fun stuff
And yes, I did first hear this song from Test Drive 6
"You see what your knowledge tells you you're seeing. ... how, what you think the universe is, and how you react to that in everything you do, depends on what you know. And when that knowledge changes, for you, the universe changes. And that is as true for the whole of society as that is for the individual. We all are what we know, today. What we knew yesterday, was different; and so were we."
- James Burke, The Day the Universe Changed (1985)
One reason that I really like the movie "Rango" is that they actually made it to be an honest to goodness Italian spaghetti western movie. This includes the score for the film. Probably my favorite piece, along with one of the best scenes of the movie, is the following.
