"Yuki-kun!" Mother hailed him. He was quite far away playing in the artificial sand at their beach house in Honshu. Yuki ignored her. He had built quite a castle with all the other kids and he was busy making his throne room.
His mother came close and hissed at him "Yuki-kun!" I have been calling you for the past 15 minutes to come!" Yuki looked at her with his angry brown eyes "I was building a throne room mother! Just like the one I want to have when I grow up to be an emperor!" his mother smiled at him, cleaned the sand off his clothes and walked with him to the large table.
she looked with wary eyes at the sand, where the other 3 kids were still playing. Her husband was building his way up with hard work, and the kogen kid that was left at their charge for that week was a clear sign he was doing a good job. It probably won't be long before she would have to part with Yuki, so he could stay up-close to his good friend.
As he finished dinner and went back to play with his friends she sighed. Yuki was merely 6 and soon he will be sent away from her to the imperial court to be the brother in arms of the young Kogen. She let her thoughts pass as Yuki ran to her crying "Okasan-sama! Gorou ruined my throne room! He said I could never be an emperor!".
His mother soothed him, telling him with a gentle voice "It's okay Yuki-kun, neither will he be, it's his elder brother Jin that would be crowned."
Yuki was impatient to see home. The Kogens let him return home for his 11th birthday and he missed his home greatly.
The journey from the imperial estate to the Soga family mansion was lengthy, but went smooth as they encountered no delays.
As Yuki stepped out of the ship, his mother ran to hug him. He felt that he couldn't breath as he tried to let out some air "Oka..sama.. I... air...". She let out a big sigh as she left him, breathing heavily. He had a huge smile, then hugged her again.
"Okasan-sama, where is father, and where is Myra?" he was looking forward to see his father and his newborn sister. His mother frowned "Your father had to go away on a business trip..." Yuki tore her arms away from him and ran. He ran for a few minutes and hid under his father's study room table. His mother approached and could only release a faint "Yuki-kun...".
It was time for celebrations, yet Yuki did not feel like celebrating. He was turning 16, and soon will be sent to the military academy, along with other high-born youth he had grown up with.
He looked at Gorou with disgust. The boy grow up to be a little monster. He was good to Yuki, but doubtfully out of his good heart more than his brother's strict orders to do so. Him and Yuki often roamed New Tokyo streets, sneaking out of the Imperial Mansion looking for trouble, usually getting caught. Lately Yuki wasn't let with so-much as a warning as much Gorou has, and the scars on his back will be a testimony for it.
Not that Gorou cared, as long as he was not the one punished, things hardly mattered to him. Yuki was full of despise, despise to his father and despise to the Little-Monster.
