Hey guys, I haven't been able to catch one of you in game to observe the RP factor there, but I have been noticing the RP displayed on the forums. Looks like you've been trying to gain contracts and establish operations. I honestly think that's great that you guys are doing that. However, I strongly urge that if you wish to differentiate your faction from IMG, then you should make it clear to those factions dealing with you day-to-day. My two-cents? Have your primary ID be Zoners and your Secondary ID be Independent Miner. Only have your miners take the secondary ID. That should clear up any diplomatic problems.
Also, why are the JM mentioned as Neutral? Wouldn't they oppose Zoners?

I'm pleased that you like our RP.
That's actually what we've been doing all along, but we were told that we could only have a single ID, and we were slowly turning towards IMG. This would clear up all problems, thank you.
For example, USI's secondary ID is the Miner ID. Only our subsidiary 3M uses this ID. However, their affiliation is with Universal, so they RP as such.
Just wanted to give you guys some encouragement. I've seen you around in game doing your thing, and I've seen you setting up deals, relationships, etc on the forums.
It can be intimidating navigating the endless legalese that has accumulated here as well as the conflicting information from folks, but do your best and eventually it will all come together. I think reaching out to similar factions (like USI) OOC for advice and IC for roleplay opportunities (cooperative or competitive) is a good idea. Also, maybe getting a dialogue going with the political powers in the systems you'll be frequenting, both IC and OOC would be beneficial. It might help you carve out your RP niche.
I look forward to bumping into you guys in space.
For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else.
