After receiving a transmission to provide escort to a LC convoy from Honeyfoot I saddled up my GB. I launched into the light blue space around P Honshu and the LC Trains were loaded for bar. Pegasus routed south to fulfill another contract where Mercury and I set our nav wp's through the Omega systems. Even though we ventured through pirate space we didn't see any of their scum ridden hides. We managed to make Cambridge and delivered on time.
We met up with Peg and a hired escort named Hartmann. Mercury stayed planet side to finish some ship maintenance and we loaded for the next run. We flew up to Planet Honshu with goods and this time made a really good profit. Eng Comp's were on the contract list next so off to Freeport 4. We were going down the trade lane in New Tokyo and on our scanners appeared a NovaPG fighter. He started to shoot at Peg so we opened fire on him. Peg was damaged slightly and jumped out to safe area while the hired escort and I continued the fight. Peg sent a transmission to the local KNF and they responded to assist with the pesty Nova. The KNF fought hard and after several passes the Nova made a direct hit. Please send an acknowledgment to KNF for their help, the pilot was safely tractored in by one of his local boys. Hartmann jumped out and said "This is useless as I can't even hit the Nova". After several passes at the Nova with guns blazing he finally decided he didn't have the stomach for my continuous pounding. I love those Zoner turrets! The Nova headed off into the blue as fast as his damaged engines could sputter.
I jumped and pushed my engines to full thrust to intercept Peg. I was bursting down the trade lane when I found out that a rogue disrupted the trade lane that Peg was in. That just made me push my engines to critical level. I jumped to Gaileo on the comm i saw that the pirate was asking for 1 mill. Peg was negotiating the pirates price to buy time. At that moment my GB slipped out of the trade lane right next to Peg. I opened fired with all guns on the rogue. After five sec's his hull exploded in space. We delivered our cargo to Freeport and made a good profit and headed up for Planet Los Angeles. We landed and took in a 5 star hotel room and called it a night. It was a good night in Sirus.
