Let me just step in on behalf of a lot of veterans and say that's one of the most hideously inaccurate summaries I've seen all year.

That is bullcrap too, Xenos shooting foreign commercial vessels because they are foreign while they themselves trade with foreigners in the same time is hypocrisy at best.
I don't think the Xenos care if they appear hypocritical. They're screwing with foreigners' profits and making their own profits from deals on the side with similarly malicious folk.
You get it. One does not simply apply normal reasonable thinking to an ultranationalist terrorist organization

Then correct me appropriately. Provide links and citations or I'll go along with my interpretation of legion lore which has served me well so far. Do your job, Echo, admins aren't meant to fire off blatting one liners nor compounding the very old-player stereotypes I'm attempting to combat at the present.
Apologies for being massively peeved, but don't immaturely throw turds. You're a Dev, explain the damn story if I'm ignorant, and I won't argue with you. K'piche?
Because so help me attempting to understand a mixed-ideology faction with an introverted lore and a completely Ridiculous moniker which barely, barely fits within the standard of freelancer naming conventions.

So why exactly should he spend the time to inform you if you're too lazy to read the HF story? The sense of entitlement is rather fancy.

Actually, I did. Please do not accuse me of factors I never implied.
Why are you now throwing character slights at me?
Edit: We're off topic and this stinks now, Evo.
Second Edit: I stand by my reasoning. For in game purposes, the Hellfire Legion and the Xenos relate in a loosely comparable manner to the Council and the Marquis. One is battleship capable and attacks only military targets in a localised area, the other is incapable of fielding caps and attacks military and transports in a localised area. Both are more revolutionary oriented than piracy oriented. [HF] tech is based from stolen LN tech, Donated Hacker Tech, and BW tech, so my point is self-validating.

I assumed it was easy enough to gather that from the story as I did, sorry. Regardless, It's not his job to correct your ignorance. Nor is it his job to be a carebear. He does enough for this community as a dev that I couldn't give two craps if he hurts someones feelings, and neither should you. You want answers to your questions? Ask politely, don't parade around like you own the place.
EDIT: Okay, let me put this in different terms. Xenos and Hellfire Legion. On one side, you have terrorists. On the other side, you have basically unlawful combatants. There's a large difference between Xenos and HF. For all intensive purposes, HF is basically another nation albeit smaller than all attacking the Liberty forces. Xenos prey on the civilian population and LPI (which also classify as civilians really.) Comparing terrorists to a military or a military to terrorists in itself is extremely offensive to either side and quite inaccurate, depending on how you look upon it.
Their goals are also different. Xenos want foreign trade expunged. HF really just wants the corrupt government removed from the throne.
Also, it's worth noting that Xenos really only shoot the Navy with HF for the alliance terms. We don't really care what the navy does because they're just puppets of the politicians. Usually, we really only shoot navy if they bring capitals into Colorado/Kepler or if they attack us. Xenos quarrel is more with corporations and foreign influences than Liberty forces. The government allowed outsourcing of labor but the corporations actually decided to do it.

Oh, Right, thank you Evo. That's actually quite helpful and apologies for preaching to a faction member about their lore.
My confusion was catalysed by the last first segment of your text - I assumed HF shared the same nationalism the Xenos occupy, which just must have grown in my head off the number of red IFF states Hellfire bears. From this logic, it seemed apparent to me that Hellfire would bare the same level of near-xenophobia and far-right ideology.
Thank you for summarising, I appreciate it and eat my words accordingly.

Well im reading all these posts, all of you have valid arguments...but in the end Hellfire need to move forward, not stagnate. If you have read the Lore set out for DW and the recent action's i.e. HF Fleet as i refer to them sharing responsibilty of Vespucci. We are two different kettles of fish, HFF being pure Hellfire and Us who see that to wage a war and run a effective goverment takes cash. If HF stay insular and stagnate then it spell's ruin in the end for them all. A people who dont evolve and move forward, end their days under someone's boot. While those that say you cant work with Gallia are correct in some ways. As for the Liberty 'People' as we all know..the 'People' only get told what goverments or should i say DW let them know. Were not going to suddenly have a load of Gallia ships flying in and out of Liberty, they would just get shot down. Currently the war is not effecting Liberty directly but if that changes then certain other things change but yes indirectly it effect's trade.
So,allying yourself with the GRN isn't a bit ooRP for Hellfire Legion? HF defends Liberty, even from their own corrupt forces (LPI, LSF, LN), AND foreign threats. GRN kills Libertonians (civilians, too), so I'd reconsider that move.
If the HF were defending these "civilians" they might as well be a legal party trying to overthrown the republic, but they are not - and sacrifices sometimes must be made for the greater cause. You need to look at their view point, the HF are smashed, their fleet is destroyed, they have no funding what so ever - they should and must find a trade partner. Sadly, everyone hates them - and those who don't, can't afford to partner them - Gallia is the lone exception to this, as they are against liberty and bretonia. And inact, because this is bash-gallia mod, I think it would only be fair if more people fougth for the french, regardless of how "mighty" their lore is. Im intrested to know how is it that liberty still manages to hold itself without any actuall damage, when kusari has a bad rep with them, bretonia is smashed - therefore, lib corps are losing money - they cannot ally with rheinland, and still they somehow manage to be just fine. I know that liberty is supposed to be the good guy, and they stand for "liberty" - or atleast thats the image I get - but they can't fight wars all the time - and if they are still as powerful as they are, I think its only fair that smaller factions like HF gain more advantage.
