Donc, c'etait trés rapide... Shortly after my last report I've managed to have a quick talk with a certain Pierre St.Denis, Executive Officer of one of the branches of GMS, and I think I found myself a maecenas. Monsieur St.Denis lent me enough credentials to purchase a Vache-class transport, with which I am supposed to work under him now, and later pay back my debt. I won't be able to report often, but I'll keep at least weekly contact with the crew on Vichy, as discreetly as possible. Mon transporteur est la Saphir de Mer, in case you would need me, but of course I won't use that to meet my fellow Councilmen on Vichy. C'est tout for now.

This is de facto Capitane of the CLN-Somme, a newly recommisioned member of the Rousillon Auxiliary Fleet. We're currently on no-essential patrol and report duties as we have several busted bulkheads that need repair that only Champagne can provide. To this end, we will be smuggling the ship across the border into Champagne tomorrow at 11 Sirius Mean Time, leaving from Toulouse.

I am pleased to report that the transition of the CLN-Somme to the Champagne Defense Fleet was a success. Under the watchful eye of Agent Rouge of the Executif des Opérations Spéciales and Bombardier 1 we made it through the Taus and Kusari without incident and into Lorraine and onto Champagne. From what the engineers from Marne say, the Somme should be fighting fit in two weeks. Until then we will be making testing runs around Champagne and test jumping ability into Artois.

Mesdames et Mesieurs,
The last months were of rebuilding ourselves in Roussillon, strenghtening ourselves in Champagne, et overall preparing ourselves for more major operations than before. But even despite we've been mostly laying low, combat operations did not halt against the Gallic Royal Navy, many of nos amis fought them et sent them to where they won't be able to hurt anyone anymore. Many of our comrades did not return from comban, but those who did have brought their trophies home just to fly out again and collect more. From these brave heroes I'd like to mention two of exemplary skill et courage.
Mesieurs Gustavo Voler le Chasseur et Gervais Pineau, you hereby are promoted to the rank of Capitaine. Congratulations on your achievements, et bonne chance on your future endeavors. The changes might appear with a little delay in the roster.
On an other note, Capitaine Bernard Dupont has good chances of recovering from his combat injuries, but sadly not fully. He won't be able to return to active duty, thus the CLN Somme has an open spot currently. I hope I can count on you et said spot will be filled before the repairs are done, Capitaine le Chasseur.

We have run into small issues in the refit of the Somme. The Obstinate is no more than a heap of junk right now, due to a coolant problem in the Promethene Fusion Core. We need a fresh batch of cryocubes if hope to produce a controlled engine and drive core. On the bright side though, any hull damage has been completely restored and we've outfitted the ship with Millatreuses to hold off the swarms of Cougars that plague most engagements. I plan to have the ship itself moved planetside to remove the hassle for the workers on the orbital facilities.

We will need to build several prototypes to construct a reliable isolation and coolant system, so to be safe I would say a Tarvos load of 500 units should be plenty for our purposes. Once procured, the package should be delivered to dry dock on the Orbital station.

The Gallic Royal Navy has been combatting our Bretonian et Libertonian allies in Sirius for long already, et intel indicates that they can't reproduce their forces here in Gallia as fast as they lose them lightyears away. It is possible that we can expect local forces to be drawn away to the frontiers, therefor I want you to dust off our shipyards in Champagne et help me reinforcing our fleet so that when the opportunity comes, we'll be able to crush the Crown et overthrow the government.
The sooner the construction can begin, the better it is. Warehouses of our shipyards are already open for arriving supplies of construction material.
The Somme has been fully repaired et its drive core is at peak efficiency thanks to the expert work of our engineers aboard Chalons. In anticipation of High Commands optimism in the Core Worlds the Somme has been retrofitted for reconnaissance et sabotage and will begin advanced strikes against vulnerable outpost near nebulous cover, the nearest being a Solar Production Facility in IDF.
