Can I ask what are you doing? There is an official faction with the same name. I know you liked your old days of [Convoy] but the MN was revived a month ago. If you wanted to be a part of the revival process and contribute like data then you could have.

[Convoy] was merged into the BAF, to add hours onto the activity tracker. Unfortunately, this also led to a lot of the faction members not playing anymore because back then the BAF was lead by persons unliked by quite a few folks that also participated in [Convoy].

[Convoy] stopped existing when it became BAF|MN. We are perfectly in our rights to go back to our factions roots (Bowex ID'd and IFF'd) and with that tag. To be fair, having a military ID posing as a merchant navy never made much sense to me and others back when the change was made.

I would say I've already contributed by granting you all the artwork I've made in the past to the BAF|MN.

I just don't feel much to be part of the BAF|, as I left BAF|MN pretty much after the change.

I see no problem of us all existing side by side. You do your part, we do our part. It's all for Bretonia, no? The fact that we have any nostalgia to 'ye olde days' should be well within our rights.

Correction, there was an official faction with that name. And when there is a revival for MN, there is nothing wrong in this.

Besides, I see an absolute perfect solution to this. We as [Convoy] could easily supply transport/freighters being the merchant navy we are and the BAF|MN could supply any war-capable vessels, from snubs to up.

I'd rather have us work side by side, co-existing for the same goal, that of Victory, than we bicker about questioning if only one should be allowed to exist.

For me, [Convoy] was attracting pirates with system-wide self-announcements, and tearing said pirates apart with full splitter turret CAU8 shires. All that while being beyond drunkenness. Often, I didn't even took commodities on them "trade runs".

BAF|MN was/is boring trading. I haven't traded ever since [Convoy] did merge/disband (in .85). And my Shire is stuck on Planet Leeds ever since. Untouched. Sad.

As we all know, all of Bretonian space is under threat

The revival of the BAF|MN is a great thing to see

The revival the [Convoy] is also a great thing to see

The main goal of our jobs is the same, to bolster, to strengthen, and to protect our space.

We will become allies in this venture, we shall help each other when needed, and defend each other when needed, and as we all know that will need to happen, for Bretonia to succeed

Gateway captains, Bowex captains, BAF captains of all groups will and must come together to support each other for Bretonia to win this damn war

There is a big history for each member of Bretonia to push for and uphold and to protect

There will be no fighting amongst us arguing who does what and where

We all have the same right and love of our systems, planets, bases, families
Its for those reasons we shall come together and fight for what we know as right

For a long time since the GRN invaded and captured our Leeds system, the BAF haven't been supplied very well; it's now the [Convoy] and the BAF|MN to come together to supply

So can we call out, the leaders of all factions of Bretonia to sit down and discuss how we can achieve this, Bowex, gateway, BMM, and Planetform, perhaps over a nice cup of earl grey somewhere soon

I suggest that Bowex and gateway help protect and supply our mining groups, namely the BMM, and also our military needs, planetform to help and supply as and what is needed for the growth of our future

And if need be, in times of trouble we shall defend each other at the upmost ergency

The reason why I post this is because of a little misunderstanding found in this thread about the merging between Convoy and BAF|.

Rubber Duck was one of my most trusted friends in disco. We both trusted one another and helped a lot. Duck and his brother had RL issues to attend, most importanly Duck was unable to play as before and that happened during [Convoy] existence.
Duck wanted Convoy ID but once he found out he wont be getting one, we opened a long conversation about how to proceed with his sub-faction and its future. Duck came to the idea to join BAF due to many simple reasons, part of which was the activity problem BAF had back then.
LN had a trading company like that under their tag (maybe they also have it now) and it was a good example of cooperation between the militaries and traders of a one single and strong faction with many aspects. LN had really great activity back then, huge part of it was coming from this one.
So, I suggested to Duck to reconsider and decide what to do. He agreed that by joining BAF| he and his men will not be part of the military side but instead - will continue their job as it was during [Convoy]. So the merging happened and a lot of laws were considered for both sides.
BAF| MN is a root of the same tree BAF| just like when they were part of Bretonia during [Convoy]. There was nothing wrong by helping each other in order to maintain a faction, which had serious activity problems.

I also did notice a huge impact of the activity of the former Convoy members but that was not due to the merging. Part of the crew left with its captain - Duck, because he had to quit Disco. I told him that without him, MN will fall sooner or later because Duck was the heart of it all and we all respect him for his hard work.

Any reasons any of Convoy/MN had in order to leave were their own and it was not because of BAF|. BAF| is a tag, and most importanly - BAF| never did involved in personal structural command of the Merchant Navy for they had their own.

If you belive that BAF| "killed" [Convoy], then at least you should know the truth that Duck agreed about the merging and he knew that once he is gone, Convoy will slowly diminish and vanish.
It is really good to hear [Convoy] may be back but the truth is - a lot of people, as far as I know, are still there, waiting....for something to happen. BAF|MN was trying to do what they did during [Convoy] days but without Duck - things were different.

If you Tyler really want to start somewhere, I would recommend you to find all BAF|MN, make a chat with them, become their leader if you were really trusted among them old Convoys....lead BAF|MN and if you really believe its 100% necessary to get rid of the tag for your own reasons - do so. We would all be happy to see Convoys around.
