Or perhaps an AI Light Drone (Interceptor) at least.
Giving it VHF agility with its current regen amount and powercore would make it a bit too good. (It can regen from almost dead to full 8 times)
I agree it fares badly in a duel against a fighter flown by a pilot who can turn properly but dueling isn't everything.
Currently it handles like a medium bomber. Giving it light bomber agility would be enough, IMO.
Also, for some reason its shield is weaker than a VHF class 10 shield and the ship itself cruises at 350m/s. The latter is probably a bug.
I don't talk about making it a new shipclass. It won't need to be trade something off. Fact is currently the drone is...not useful against any kind of ship...also a bomber can easily snac a drone, this is just unfair and unbalanced. making it at least useful against snubs and increase the turn rate on the same level as VHFs have
The problem about the AI shipline is, that it's barely being used by anyone (but their faction/s). So nobody will really care about its balance.
(Good example: nomad shipline and wild scorpion.)
If you want change, don't talk to the community but to the devs themselves.

The AI drone is godly. It's terribly broken as it is. Sure you might not win a 1 vs 1 in connecticut with it against a wraith, but that doesn't mean crap. You just don't realize how fast 64-68 degrees per second is.
Blow the regens away- 50-60, scrap the specialty weapons and dry the core to 12000-13000. Then you can have that turning speed.
Anything else is broken and anybody who says the opposite needs to actually play the game and learn about it.

2. Powercore can provide permanent fire. In goup fights it means the AI Drone can deal up to 3 times more damage than the regular VHF with all else being equall.
3. The weirdest - reverse speed 30 m/s. Ship is harder to flank. Even more - it can get behind you by just reversing (you're right behind it, it engages reverse - and, voila, you've swapped places).
