Series of events -
Asked for community submission for Phatoms Replacement.
Awesome little team works for months on ideas, ship modelling etc.

Some months later after lore revisions, modelling work and trial RP we find out -
Phantom Assets are removed.
Told if I wanted to continue to pursue this to submit as new content.
Found linked thread stating that Etherium content won't be added.
Wonder what went wrong.

Why not continuing with Revenant and #removegallia 8) ? Ok skip the gallia part but replace phantoms with The Revenant and additionaly see how the Etherium continues and add them too maybe.

While in hindsight I can see how that reads as if I had dismissed the Etherium concept, the "No" was in response to Snake's primary line of inquiry relating to replacing the Phantoms with the Revenant, particularly since the purpose of that particular thread was to discuss the concept of a new faction through replacing/recycling of Phantom assets. This does not contradict:

... any Etherium-related content would have to be a new content submission, not a replacement content submission...

Edit: Furthermore, the Admins do not usually go out of their way to close Unofficial Player Factions without reason, and as this player faction is not breaking server rules nor displaying harmful attitudes within the community, the Etherium have done nothing wrong. In-game player factions are not the realm of developer jurisdiction, so strictly speaking, we aren't involved with this stage of the faction's progression at all.

Several things -
Those who I had working on the idea threw in the towel when the assets we were replacing disappeared.
Some of those people are marginally pissed about that.
I continued trying to rewrite the content as a new submission but it has altered it so much I no longer recognise it and has lowered the quality significantly to the point where it is no longer the high quality original concept.
Frustration at feeling like we have been jerked around.

For the love of God just lock this thread before those people put themselves in a situation where they are taking admin enforced holidays. That is the last thing I want attached to something that was to be our gift to Discovery GC.
