Julia have seen that Salah stopped writing and turned her head toward him.
Finished? Good. Lets see what you have done there. Julia started reading. Impression on her face were changing from amazed to satisfied. This wasnt hard to see which answers she didnt liked and which she approved.. Some mistakes are present, but nothing critical. Id say that is one of a best answers I seen in past two weeks. Well done, consider stage two complete. Now get to Gorodok. You'll need a uniform, weapon and a ship, of course. Stage three, the final one, shall start when you get message from the High Command. That is all, nugget. Congratulations. Dismissed.
Julia stood up and followed Salah to the exit. After she closed the door and went to the cafeteria again. She wanted a cup of coffee so much...

From: The SCRA High Command
To: The SCRA applicants
Priority: HIGH
[Message Begins]
The Head of a State have decided that current level of recruitment process too high and while only most skilled and fearless soldiers pass though, their numbers arent a match for all those capitalists, counter-revlutionaires and pirates who continue to opress good people of Sirius.
He have already sent transmission to those who have the heart and brains to answer for it, but in order it not going to be lost, we shall save this here. Click on the attached files to recieve access to transmission. The message shall repeat itself for quite some time, untill we get back the old recruitment process.
From: The SCRA High Command
To: The SCRA applicants
Priority: HIGH
[Message Begins]
Comrades, numbers of the Coalition army has grown high. Higher then usual even. Not all of applicants meet the standarts we demand, but they will learn. If they wont - they will die and new one will take their place. The Coalition do not support weakness.
With increased numbers of Fighter Corps, previous order about lowering recruitment standarts for applicants have been successful in the end. From now on, previous recruitment process takes its place back. All applicants are to arrive to Planet Gran Canaria, go to local bar and search for Coalition commissar. From there he will take you to our recruitment offices deep in Siberia clouds. There you sign yourself as applicant and await further instructions.
- Name : Kala Deryn
- Age : 24
- Birthplace : Planet Volograd
- Status : Applicant
>>Family data<<
- Father : Jean Deryn - Gallian migrant, organized several strikes worker strikes in the IDF. Joined the coalition space after he organized a cargo mutiny and offered us Gallian weapons and information. Proven to be a loyal citizen and worked for Volgograd Industrial before retirement. Is presently holding a popular library along with his wife and working closely with the propaganda ministry.
- Mother : Anieska Deryn, born Illianovich, native and loyal citizen from a family of civil and military pilots. Worked as a pilot for Volograd Industrial before she retired.
>>Applicant data <<
Graduated from school to college, was qualified as a disciplined and energic student. She had good marks, and received a prize in literature and sports. During her civic duty she proved to be a dedicated element and a good shooter, with potential to become an officer. She then enlisted in the pilot academy, "to follow the family tradition" and scored high enough to be integrated in the navy.
The said applicant was now standing in front of the commissar desk, patiently waiting for him/her to finish reading her file. Then as she was instructed before she introduced herself politely and stated her motivations :
- Commissar, as a citizen of the coalition I always felt like it was my duty to join the army. Both my parents worked for Volograd industrial and I spent evenings alone waiting for them to return listening to the news about corsairs and capitalists incursions in our territory and I'd wished I was there to chase them out. My father told me how life is miserable for the common people in the rest of the Sirius Sector, it is our duty to bring them hope. I understand that the capitalists are blind and will probably not listen to reason until bodies falls and ships explodes. Killing the misguided is the burden of those who fight for our greater and noble cause and I'm willing fully to dedicate myself to it.
She then waited, doing her best to hide her anxiety.
Shortly after Julia reported about her actions in past months, she went to recruitment centre. She heard the rumors that SCRA have lowered standarts for short time, probably thats why she saw so many young people flying around training and patroling. By the time she reached centre, High Command changed recruitment process back, so Julia came right in time to test a recruit on full. She were given Kala and with her went to the office, where listened to her story.
Nihao, Kala. I am Julia Dorian, but you can call me comrade Commissar. Your story is quite interesting and despite the common notes I hear so often here, you at least know how to make introduction. So, civilian, are you? Do you have ground and space combat training? What vessel types you fly? Julia looked at Kala's file. Oh, and your father is Gallian? What do you feel about current Gallia course?
Julia laid back on her chair. She were looking at Kala's face. She found her pretty girl with that unique look in her eyes. Julia remembered something from her own past, looked at ceiling and gave happy smile.
- Comrade Commissar, I've ground combat training and I'm qualified to fly any fighter and medium sized transports, I've done most of my training on an Insurgent. About Gallia, I know how to speak and understand the language, but I never had any kind of sympathy for its government, rather the opposite.
Julia's sight fell down on Kala after she finished dreaming.
So you do not like Royalists, but know their language. Ha! I could send you there as a spy to our cause. Could be great to have more connection to the GRN plans and tactics. But first things first. What do you know of our fight? What makes you think you will be ready to go to war? Why would you support Sirius-wide socialist state? Julia checked her hair. Oh, and what do you think about The Council?
Leaving Kala to make up her answer, Dorian turned to the window, looking somewhere far away.
I don't know much about the Council Commissar, but I suppose that their attempt to overthrow the Gallian monarchy is a good action, but replacing it with "democracy" ? If that means people would be oppressed by corporate overlords and their puppet politicians instead of a monarch, I don't see the point. The only freedom that can be achieved is through the power and the work of the people and that's what the coalition has been fighting for during all its existence.
Kala made a pause, briefly looking through a window as she continued, her words filled with conviction.
Freeing the people of Sirius of their capitalists overlords is the only way for humanity, we have to stop the petty conflicts of the many Sirius governments, corporations and factions to unite them under one banner where all people would be able to work together for the future. I'm personally ready to give all I can to see this happening, I've been through civic service and the pilot academy for it. My parents have piloted transports for a long time, but I find myself more comfortable in the thin space of a combat vessel, rushing through space weapons ready for our noble cause.
The Councils goal is good and we would support it even. The real problem with them not about democracy, you know? The true and not biased democracy can be used by Coalition, at least in my opinion, the problem is in different. And this problems have names - Liberty and Bretonia. They are trying to work with Council, to show them their style of capitalism and democracy, they want to turn such good revolutionary idea Council have into something dirty and stinky as their own government. We try to open eyes of Council sometimes about it, so people of Gallia will not be lost cause. Same applies with Colonials in a way. Julia stood up and went to the window, continuing looking somewhere. You know, sometimes I look outside, into the void of open space and think... What if all what we are doing have no point? What if we all doomed by being different from all those people? What if we shall never succeed on our path? Julia turned back to face Kala. What will you do if you shall see that all your job for the good of people turn ruins and fallen dreams? Shall you be upset? Angry? Will blame high command? Or you go all apathy and shoot yourself?
It appears that there was no impression on Dorian's face. No trase of curiosity or sadness. Kala could only guess what that question meant to be.
