Play Starlancer, take cues from the Yamato.

Look through this for ideas on ships...

' Wrote:looks pretty nice much better than the old one
but i think it would look better with the tower amidships instead off to the side

I think this is a great Idea. It would make it look a bit better. Oh, and increase the size of the tower a bit. Think Star Destroyers.

' Wrote:Hey xing if i might make a suggestion. The forward underside is a bit too flat. You seem to be going with a reall speedboat sort of bow shape, try embelashing that a bit.

PS. I would keep the side tower it is a major characteristic of American carriers.

The flat deck sticks out a bit too much to the front in my opinion. Make it a bit shorter, bringing the curved bow up to the edge.

' Wrote:TBH, it looks like a enterprise class with some engines strapped on. Not at all like a space ship. Needs to be more rounded and streamlined.
Try modeling it after the latest carrier off the line instead: Ford Class Carrier

Definitely seems more streamlined to me, and looks a bit less blocky.

' Wrote:I'"ll say make it look like it has been made to fly only in space

because right now it looks like the navy strapped some Engines on a BS to put it in orbit:crazy:

as said,,,maybe make it a little more symetrical, like the example that duke has suggested,,

However it is looking real good

Heh... like the proposed new Xeno ship!

Xenos Fighter

Anyways, it still looks waaaay better than the old one.

because... it doesnt looks like liberty built it...
anyway, I am hesitant on wether working on it anymore or not. The model is quite complexe due to numerous polygons.

Completely take off the deck after it extends past the under-structure. The flat-deck is unneeded in space.

I know what you were going for, but this is space. While the ships of Liberty resemble naval vessels...you've still got the out-shoot and the in-shoots, just not the extranious decking.

$.02

It's just that the deck is a bit big. It extends past the rest of the ship too much.

If I remember correctly from Lancers Reactor before its collapse, there was a ship pack with a ship that looks exactly like that, but had its textures and graphics complete.

I tried it wasn't stable, but fun to kill Nomads with.

Still the ship designs look pretty neat.
