Chapter one

The beginning

It was the day when Aiden was named the Captain of the 13th Fleet of New Castle. Since it was a big event and Sir Corvinus was there along with a couple of Lords and a queen's representative, the navy decided to make a more special promotion ceremony. There was supposed to be even a Dunkirk Class Battleship doing a planet dive an then jump back in space, to let the fighters and bombers onboard be left on the planet.

Since the biggest promotion was Aiden's, the Marks were proud and they were showing of in front of their rival family, Aron, whose daughter was expected to be named the captain, but she was only named the CAG, so they weren't so happy.

Sonja, on the other hand, was there, but not as a quest yet the one who had to promote her brother, she being the one of the Colonels of the Fleet. On the day before, she was showing of in front of her colleagues in the fleet.

So after the last tests were done the ceremony was getting ready to start. Aiden in his uniform was in the line on the podium and they were waiting for the fall of the Dunkirk...The big moment was getting closer and closer, then from the sky a red light appeared. The almighty ship was rapidly dropping, and then many small lights appeared as well, the fighters, the bombers and then in a glimpse a small light appeared and the battleship was gone, but from the big speakers a voice came on:

*This is battleship Norfolk, the op. was a complete success! Long live the queen...Long Live Captain Marks* an then there was a second of silence , while the people could realize what happened.

Then everybody started clapping and cheering. Col. Marks was getting close to the stage where those which were ready to be promoted were saying:

*Good evening, dear soldiers and parents, Sirs and Lords, my names is Sonja Ada Marks, Colonel of the 13th New Castle auxiliary fleet, and today I hereby present the members of the navy which are now getting promoted, so shall we?
Let's start with the big ones:
-Please CAG Marks and the Sharon Aron to step forth....
Aiden Marks you are hereby promoted to the rank of Captain in the 13th Fleet, welcome Captain within the Command the of the Fleet. Many, many gauls may die by our hands and we will serve the queen till our last breath.
Sharon Aron you are hereby promoted to the rank of CAG of the Fleet. You now will obey and lead your people into battle so each man dead will be on you, this in not near a nice job and isn't easy, but you have Cpt. Marks to help you.*

So after another 30 minutes of the speeches a new face walked on the stage...
*Today we have a new promotion which was never encountered before, the room of Lords have decided under complete unanimity to promote the Prime-minister's niece to the rank of Lt. Please give her a round of applause!*

After the ceremony was done ,Sir Marks organized a party for the promoted members of the navy and as well all the lords and sirs could discuss, but he wanted to talk to the Prime-minister.

*So Mr. Prime-Minister, we had a deal, my son has waited long for this moment, many years and now your daughter will have to make him like her, so they could get engaged*

*Sir I thought they will only be friends* He was looking scared

*Well, i think you niece won't be happy to know you have begged me to talk with the room of Lords, when she never got a kill and got doomed more than anyone? I guess she won't be happy, so you either make her or there will be need for a new Prime-Minister*

*Yes. Will do, Sir. This is a nice party you have here*

*Indeed, now please go and have some fun* He smiled...

So till the next day , the party was full and nobody left. There were new relationships started and finished, there was intrigue, pain , happiness and much more.

Chapter One

First mission

5 days after Aiden was promoted, he was assing to lead a a team around New Castle, where a pair of traders have told the navy , they have enounterd a series of unknow ships and lost a pair of frighters to the contacts.

"Alright gentelmen, where have here the raport, which tells us a little bit of what we are dealing with"Spoke Aiden in the fleet channel. " They told us , they were made out of gelatinous substance and had the abillity to kill ship in a short time and then fade from scanners and visual range, i am not sure what they are, but we could deal with something we never see before."

And the fleet cruised to the location where the ships were attacked.The battleship HMS-Neptune, which lead the fleet, along with 3 Cruisers, 2 Gunboats and a wing of both bombers and fighters,stopped and for good minutes nothing on the radar, but the odds where not in their favour, soon 2 big blue ships appread and after one which was the size of a Dunkirk and two more was with them.

"Those are nomads, a Marduk and two Irras" Shouted a old cruiser commander

"What in good lord's name.....Set alert status 1 along the fleet, prepare to engage at my commad" Said Aiden to his XO...

Seconds later a blot came from the bigger vessel and hit one of the cruiser hull, making a big hole into it...Then the ship was space dust. As the Cruisers where engaging the enemy's ones, the Neptune, which was aware of the fire power the enemy battleship was putting out, decided to turn all his batteries faceing back and fire while making evasive moves.

After cuple of of minutes on the radio a voice came in:
"This is Cruiser Elenor, we request help....*then a small silance* Ahhhhhh" The cruiser was hit by their cruiser and gone down in flames..

"Sir, that was Cruiser Elenor, it was killed , but managed to damaged the enemy cruiser badly, should we switch targets and try to hit the cruiser"

"No,keep putting presure on the big one, tho send the bombers to finish the Cruiser,and the fighters to help the other cruiser and gunboat against the other cruiser" Shouted Aiden to his communication chief.

He was lucky, with one more bomber killed before getting killed both the Cruisers gone down. Now it was the time to focus fire on the bigger vessel, but when the Cruisers and bombers launced their Novas and Torpedos it faded away, but not before giving a good salvo of fire into Neptune's hull.

"Ok, XO sitrep" asked Aiden

"Sir we lost one cruiser 2 bombers and 4 fighters and that would be about 250 men today"

"Thank you, i am gonna go and do the raport for this battle, you are in command here" The saddnes in Aiden's voice was clear and his walked showed the same, both shamed and felling guilty for having his men killed,the thought consumed him a day by day.
