I'm another of those guys. But only when a indy GRN starts tauting me (not my character who recently have see how his his comrades die, me, the player) so he could get an easy kill xD
Anyway yo have to understand what is to be in the other side. You don't recive messages or send any in real time, all ships go away from you fast and in a random direction. For the lagged player the roll play ended long ago and have no other choice to continue than open the chat and read what happen in the mean time. IF the lags doesn't return again, and again, and again...
This user talks little to none english. If you find something wrong tell him.

To understand a matters background, the sideffects is one thing, but that doesn't automatically mean you also have to approve it.
It's also a question of the respect one feels for other players how he deals with a situation, and interrupting other players game-experience just b/c of fearing to get sanctioned is simply selfish and ignorant - to me.
About the, often lacking, knowledge of the english language I just can say, if a player wants to play here it's simply a MUST to have sufficient knowledge of the servers standard language - if you don't just don't play here.
That may sound hard, but it's a problem I run into every single day I play here and it really annoys me, also that just too many (new) players log on to the server without ever having visited the website, haven't read the rules, have no idea what Discovery represents etc. - and often enough also just don't care at all.
But as I'm usually a kind and helpful person I always try to tell them what they should know, as far as I believe to know better, or at least point them where to read about so that we all can have fun.
About reporting, in most cases, I think, is a respectful made comment via PM much more successful than just reporting them - in particular as Discovery is a pretty complex kind of mod/community that often enough owerwhelms the ones that play here, not just newbies .

Yeah well, that's why I mentioned that there is "/fm" and "/pm", that's how I do it always, I PM the person or FM the group instead of writing it in Local or System Chat which is realy annoying cuz everybody sees it.
I think I hear nitpicking... Sounds like nitpicking to me.
Does one or two short // messages actually ruin your game THAT much? No offense (which means I'm now going to say something a little offensive), but that sounds like more of a personal problem.
Next time, try typing "//np" back, and then carrying on with your interaction.

Sterlin, it has been increased, that's the matter. You didn't see so many unnecessary "//" 's back in 4.85 and even 4.86. in 4.87 it increased so hard EVEN VETERANS do it, people got used to it and use it WAAAAY too often, yes it ruins it that's not a personal problem, because it's beeing done in Local and System chat you newb. I guess there would be no problem if everyone would just "/fm" and "/pm" instead. Since it's beeing done in Local and System chat, which everyone sees it and usualy it takes long until that sentence disappears and you're like "Ah, not again STOP ooRPing!".
It's not about 2 - 3 times, it happens alot and pretty much ruins the Roleplay.
