Community Event 20./21. Sept. , final planning stage

Well, when we ran Operation: Christma$ Miracle, we definitely got jumped by GRN forces...but we still managed to pull off ferrying the goods on/off planet by calling for help from both LN & BAF forces, who jumped in and engaged the GRN and bought us some time.

It was actually quite fun. But yeah...plan on getting jumped and have some Plan B, C, D, etc. ready.

And thats exactly why I would like to have a commodity buff...
To enhance interaction and traffic in the Leeds Area for more than only 2 - 4 hours. Or a 15 min Pewdown.

I´ll set the prize money for GRN and / or Pirates and escorts because I would rather cooperate with the players and make an event out of it than let it all get crashed in chaos. And as I dont plan to buy any Caps soon, I have some money to spend.
After all, I got a complaint by a indie Hacker jesterday that I was so filthy rich... just because I dont stack every 100.-.- to a bank.
Id be fully prepared to throw about 300 - 500 mil or even more into the event in one or the other form, like sending a SRP to Admins or setting prize money. This whole event is not about money for me.

Plan A would be a fun event for all... trying to be quick in loading / unloading while some escorts and caps try and protect the liners / transports. And If somebody suggests any orga tips Im ready to take them up.
Also I´d like to ask if somebody would like to do help with orga at the GRN and / or Pirate side.

Plan B ? Don´t get caught

Plan C : Don´t get shot down because of the superior work of all escorts.
( Faze, Vigilantes ... some Feedback for me ? )

Plan D : Return after 2 hours offline or other work ... to start a new run.

I´ll be silent about E and F ;-)

Well, adjust price accordingly... I still offer to rehab them at Tinkers Haven, after all the Clinic is just officially opening.
And then let us convoy them back.... much the better for any pirates ;-)

But may I point out that folks are *fleeing from* Bretonia ?

Ok RP : Bretonians nervernevernever will be slaves. Yup, correct. I offer rehab, training , relocation. Not Slavery.
And if I can get my costs met or get a in-RP incentive to ferry them to lets say : Cambridge : I will.
And no, I dont mean a BS gun at the cockpit window, a please would be sufficient.
Lets say a knights title for 1 million refugees saved ? THAT would be a competition ! ( But not in 24 hours, please )

OOC : Price check again... Bretonia might not be amused that I relocate them to Kusari,
and Liberty might not be amused that I ferry them to Rheinland. But do we talk about a commodity here ?

I got some fine RP from the lot of you so far,
and I will be happy to react to a protest or a suggestion concerning the relocation.
But I offer needed help in RP. Refugees get shiped somewhere else so that they can get rehab.
They are not *selled outside of ZOI to work in Camps*. Thats GMG...

So far positive reactions. The Poll is still running a few days.
Im going on with planning and will write the next inRP invitations and requests tomorrow.

Nobody has stepped forward to organize any GRN or Pirate group jet , so I´m not sure how to organize the prize money here.
I will not be able to set one without help here, sry.

As for Escorts : I thought about negotiating a bulk contract or two :
Faze, Vigilantes ... anybody interested in taking a 100.000.000 contract for his Faction ?
And if you can tell me how to organize or vote it out, I still offer another 100.000.000 Bonus as prize money for the event.
But compared to the first two toplists I currently have no idea how to decide the competition here.

Gosh, I'm sorry I saw this thread and read about the SRO so late.

DSE has had The United Hope Foundation Rehabilitation Centre for refugees fleeing from Leeds in order to alleviate the burden on Bretonia as they battle Gallia. This is part of the explanation for Pittsburgh being the cheapest place to buy "slaves" due to the poor and unemployed masses. We like to consider them as poor job seekers and have made some RP arrangements with GMG to legally transport them through Liberty. Something to consider, but we certainly don't have a monopoly on that RP. It's your event and you've definitely put together some interesting, extensive RP. Kudos.

Like Gateway|, we've done runs and RP in the past and would be happy to participate and/or contribute to the prize money.

Certainly on the right track about requesting a temporary price buff - it seems pretty solid so you shouldn't have an issue justifying a buff, wherever you decide to have it. Did you notice that Houston sells human organs though? SKETCHY.

I dare anybody to tell our Doc Nagger that she´s letting us import medical cattle for the butcher at Houston. After all she´s telling me to get some transplantation organs since she arrived at the Haven !

Problem is : the *human organs* are the only fitting commodity so far, and I don´t see any point in complaining. Rather I take it as it is and start doing RP around the lore. After all : Do you think all transplantation organs are *clean* in RL ?

If there´s money to make some J... er, I mean somebody will make money with it.

I´ve got a Prob here :

Setting prize money for Traders / Blokade runners is easy.
- most commodity transferred, proof with gunpic

Setting an according prize money for escorts and antagonists is still my intention, but frankly I don´t know how ?
I hoped hat perhaps some of the experienced members of community would suggest something,
perhaps even for a Orga to step forwards ?

I too would like to make it an open competition, meaning we should set the prize money accordingly so that a solo Pilot can claim it. And this should be avilable to faction players and Indies alike. The only difference is that I will probably try and involve some factions over a bulk contract. ( for excemple : 50 mil Bonus so that I get some escorts for 2 - 3 convoi runs through T&T and SRO. ) How the faction leaders disperse that to their players is their buissnes ;-)
Same with the commodity buff and the long event duration : I would love it if the guncam pics proove that some other faction,
perhaps even a bunch of Indies - beat us at the Haven to the *most refugees* After all, we will NOT claim our own prize.
( A least not Sturm and myself , I do hope our juniors at T&T take the invitation and start building Ambulances and Liners , too ;-)

The prize money would be set into 2 Pots :

• one for Antagonists - (Pirates, GRN)
  
• one for Escorts -( faction and Indie alike )

I would set a beginning and an ending time in SMT ( from 20.09. to 21.09. )
and the registry would be open to both sides
( meaning you would know ooC who´s competing for the other side )

I would suggest we limit the ship size from LF to GB for the Comptition.
From each Pilot I would require a guncam pic showing the engagement message ( with timestamp ) and the victory message ( with timestamp ).

On each side the winner takes it all, except if somebody wants to set up more prizes ?


As for Cap combat : If the big ones want to play, let the big ones play. I hope the players of the Bretonian and Gallic Cap ships... and any other major raiders ... will not crash the event only to proove they have bought the ships ?


Im not at home atm, and will start finishing the coordination , writing the appropriate posts inRP and writing the request for the commodity buff monday / tuesady.
