I would have agreed with this if we had 3-4 times the player base we have now. But with the typical ~100 online(half of which in conn and NY) I dont think it is a good idea.
if this was done, as in removing the system locations, it would also help the admins in proving players as metagamers
how would a pirate/unlawful ship knows where a trader/miner ship is, unless he already encountered them in a system.
e.g
player (a) a miner/trader is in a system or heading to another
and is met by player(b), who isnt hostile,
player (b) then logs a hostile ship withing a few seconds/minutes in a nearby system, to claim a bounty or just for the kill and flies direct to where that miner/trader was/is, but......hes now not there
but wait theres more
player (b) now sees where player (a) is now, because of the player list, and catches up and gives 2 line rp and then engages/kills etc etc
thats allowed at current isnt it?
what about if the player list did not show where player (a) is
is that bad for server and player interactions or is that good because player (b) cant metagame the location to engage
should it be that if a player wishes to log a pirate/hostile ship then he has to actively try to find his targets?
