Yeah I had no clue about that one. I've been doing that pretty much since I got Disco, never seen anyone complain about it. That one is common practice, isn't it? I see it literally all the time. Really odd. That's an exploit so subtle, I doubt most people know it is one. Should probably mention it as an example in the rules or something.

It's common practice to ram someone with engine kill in an attempt to escape a cap fight by getting flung away at up to ~900 m/s because of a physics bug? I don't think so. It isn't very subtle, either.
EDIT: I confused it with something else. My point is the still the same, whether your goal is flipping your opponent or making a quick escape. It's especially easy and effective on large caps due to physics bugs. It shows that the game was not really designed for capital ships, but at least have the decency not to abuse it.

Embrace it as a mechanic, not an exploit. Most of the things that are in Freelancer don't make sense either (nuke cheese HELLOOO), but if a liberty dread is able to come to you and flip you, chances are you did poor job at kiting.

Wait, what? Ramming someone is an exploit now?
I don't get it.
Ramming!? This should be KNF tactics, 'cuz Kamikaze attacks! Shamefur dissspray!
But seriously, this bug kinda... bugs me. I got flung away by 6-K (Six. Effing. K.) by an NPC, and I was like, WHAT!?
Yet ramming would have sense if it dealt a very major damage between caps, like, fast GB, filled with mines (or Plutonium), ramming the bigger ship, dying itself however, but dealing massive damage or even crippling the enemy vessel.
You know, like Walker did with his cruiser in vanillia campaign.

Yes, kiting a lib dread is a great idea, especially when you're in a larger battleship like a valor. Excellent advice.
I'm truly shocked by how many people ITT think intentionally ramming to flip a cap is okay now. What happened? Is it opposite day, did I miss the notice?
