You said you will treat police/navy who fly contraband as corrupt and enemy. What if the officer takes the stuff to a base for proper destruction or analysis? Will it depend on the RP at hand?
Though usually the navy/police who has recovered such contraband will be told to destroy it right there on the spot. If they do not comply, the cargo would be liberated from them.
Technically, the only ones the vigilantes could give the cargo to are LSF operatives. But that too is discussable.
Which would you suggest though, if you don't mind me asking. As in, which would make more sense? Especially since vigilantism means enforcing the law by the book without any circumstances.
Not to mention we already know how LPI transport cardamine to Manhattan for "laboratory analysis 8|", and it is the sort of corruption and incompetence which causes vigilantism in the first place.
I think it would really depend on the situation at that time. I mean how would the vigilante know if the police is telling the truth or not? he could just say that he will bring it for destruction/analysis or he could be just a lying corrupt police? is there a designated base for contraband analysis/destruction? Would the vigilante escort the police to the said base just to make sure?
Maybe just destroy non-human contraband in space on the pretext that "we know it's nasty, and simply don't want it here". People, of course, should be returned to the nearest base ASAP, possibly even by commandeering the nearest available transport.

This.
Any cargo that can be destroyed will be destroyed.
Human cargo will be returned to the closest base via whoever has a transport around at the time and just RP it off as a rescue operation.

If you don't happen to have a transport logged at the time, find the nearest civilian trader and strong-arm them into retrieving the floating people. Of course, you'd have to be careful who you enlisted...or they might just re-enslave the poor souls...
That's what I meant. Obviously we would be using one ID, which in this case would not be able to dock on any ''close'' base anyway. Getting some guy in a transport, who'd be willing enough to RP a rescue thing would be fun enough.
That makes sense only in the middle of the sentence, so Vigilantes are going to be shooting vigilantes. That's gonna be interesting.
While the idea is definitely good, in my honest opinion, it has little place in the state of current affairs in Liberty. To use the D&D alignment system (it is also a roleplay system after all), there is an absolute overflow of chaotic entities while the lawful ones are in minority. I can't help but notice that people seem to think the only balance is needed on the good-evil axis.
