HP Compaq D530 CMT sound

Hi there

I got problem with this PC, i was using it for some DOS related games but formatted it and installed Win XP pro.

Now this is the issue:

I installed SoundMax sound diver and it works but only trough the on board motherboard speaker and when i insert line out on back or front audio jacks sound goes away, No sound, and when i plug speakers out sound reverts back to On board.

Cannot seem to find the problem anywhere Please help or advise if you can.
