-Making an effort to deliver quality RP. Whether it really is quality or not is subjective so it shouldnt be rewarded with andything else than expresions of admiration and respect.
-Organizing events that are fun for the participants but don't ruin the fun of non-participants (the later would be events such as "kill all zoners" or "lock down Manhattan and yell at everyone there who doesnt follow your script)
-Helping others learn about RP and learn to fit in. Simply helping people make money isnt really useful for he community
-Helping to develope game mechanics that do that.
Perks should not be given if you:
-simply hold a position where you are intended to do that
-use that position to mess up or block other people's RP and contributions
-use that position as authority-hammer or for schlong-waving in discussions or ingame
Perks should:
-give small advantages in PvP
-give small advantages in making money
-give small advantages such as unlocing the best snub, cap, and transport in your faction
-be obtainable by anyone who is willing to do the work, without that work being for the benedit of certain individuals, but it should be for the benefit of the community
Perks should not:
-be a win-all PvP advantage
-be a 100% safe or effortless way to make credits
-be an advantage that gives you authority over other players, or more rights during interactions with other players
-be obtainable only if the people who distribute them like you
Perks should be given to players for their own actual behavior, and not for being part of any particular group.

Maybe word limit for that exact roleplay, like 20 000 words?
People usually call that a thesis paper, and they get a fancy Dr title and pay rise out of it.
It is not hard to get that much words in two months (if you are active), both in your and someone else's RP I believe. I have... However, I agree it should be 10 000 rather than 20 000 words. Look at To: Hide. On the beginning, we had just short messages, but then, in time, we maintained to at least two paragraphs long replies. And I believe it also shows how RP is going on, as it is visible it goes better and better.
Maybe adding something around the time spent on the vessel + provided replies between certain factions would be another way than just giving out 250 million creds, because it makes the SRP way longer and you are more concerned about credits rather than on doing your RP right.
Also, 20 000 words is half of something I consider Light Novel.
I'm probably never going to apply for an SRP because of how the system works, but getting people to write stories/responses that hit an arbitrary word count to be considered good enough and involved other factions isn't a good measure of RP. It's a measure of time freedom, writing ability and ability to have friends in other factions.
Writing paragraphs is not the be all and end all of roleplay. It can be, but it doesn't have to be.
As it is, SRPs are decided in an opaque way with a subjective vote test, but I definitely wouldn't want it reduced to a mere writing contest.
Why not make it easier to obtain it?Having an idea that less than 5 peoples can use is pointless..
So..what IF instead of a SRP we could do something more simple and easier? Like a short biography of character in order to be approved?
Would the new version of Corvo(whatever that is) still be available for FL ID as previously discussed?
We could do that, but first tell me what bares you from playing a researcher right now, without the researcher ID?
I know more than a couple of players that play as researchers, and they all do it with their respectable faction, or even as Freelancers.
The why do we even need the researcher id anyways? Isn't that what you imply there?
Because when someone meets you ingame he will treat you different than the usual foreplay(+15mins without breaking your immersion,doubtfully..) you have to do in order to have same outcome you could accomplish with 1 word on your id...
People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..
Fine, I'll post this in green, since you lot can't seem to get it -
For the time being, Researcher ID will be SRP. As I have mentioned MULTIPLE times now, the process for obtaining a Researcher ID through SRP will be extremely easy compared to most other SRP's. Essentially, prove to us that you're not going to abuse the ID for powertrading, and you pretty much got it. Is there a word count requirement? No. Does it need to be an essay? No. Will you get the 250mil back after you are approved? Yes. Are you a lolwut whom writes up a blatantly fake and BS RP paragraph to get an OP ID? Then you won't get it. Will the Researcher ID gain some special perk for it? Unsure at this time, as it's just thoughts and ideas, hence why it wasn't elaborated on, cause... we have nothing to elaborate on, besides what was mentioned. Rest assured, whatever perk comes with it, it'll more than likely be given to others as well, but the Researcher ID will be able to use it more efficiently, thus not taking away from a gameplay feature. Happy? Good. Now play the game and enjoy a small perk that is this ID that takes away nothing, but gives something to those who might want to benefit from it.
