"Looks like you got another one Christy" Justin said with a smirk, "Are you okay love??" Christy asked in a concerned manner, "I keep telling you that your beverages are too hot but.. eh.." He sighs and stands up to face the woman, "you're a complete mess" he commented, reaching over the counter and picking up a towel from the hot rack beneath it before turning back to Skye, wiping the womans top of the few drops of tea before organising her uniform so that it was to the correct standard.
Justin realised that he may have gone too far and stopped, seating himself back down but still playing it cool. "what in the world possesed you to join the police anyway" Justin asked in a disparraging manner, Christy looked at justin in an odd manner, having never seen him display much care for anyone before in all the years he had been coming to the shop, but then frowned when she heard him almost insulting the woman "What does it matter to you, you arent in the police force anymore" Christy scalded lightly.
Justin turned back to his holonews, "I guess I just see my self in the way shes so careless" he said quietly and shook his head. "forget it."

Christy's Fine Tea and Delicious Pastries ~ 02/25/822 "Fine, so retired Policeman said who or what I am. Fine, Fine. You don't even know how does it look like outside. I am two days in Police, two full days without a sleep, many attempts to arrest Captains of transports, criminals, keeping our Bretonia safe. And what do I get in return? Blame and insults... I am just too damn tired and it seems my brain is off. Fine, I hope you will be damn bored here!"
She almost yells this time. She grabs her cup of tea and goes back to the corner, not willing to look at him for now, carefuly drinking her tea and thinking about his words.
"Maybe he is right, I shouldn't have joined Police... I should die in boring laboratory."
Justin continued to browse the news, though was caught offguard by her sudden unexpected outburst. Christy was about to interject when Skye took her tea and moved away to the corner table again, standing in dispair again. "Every day you cause trouble like this Mr Dehavilland!" she said loudly before leaning into the counter on the opposite side from Justin.
"I may have said too much..." Justin replied simply, still reading the news headlines, Christy pressed a button on the display crystal which closed the hologram. "When are you going to stop hiding behind self grandeur, be a real man, and start cleaning up the messes you make?" she asked coldly, Justin frowned at his news being closed, but could feel that the large woman before him was being deadly serious and so kept his cool, straightening his face.
"How you ever made sergeant i'll never know" she chuffed disoprovingly. "I dont expect you to know" Justin retorted and stood up with his coffee, picking up the display crystal and putting it into his chest pocket. he moved over to the corner table where the Junior constable had retreated to.
"I said too much just now.... id like to say 'dont take everything that gets said to you to heart' but if you do that too often, you'll just end up like me..." Justin rumbled in a low tone, before continuing, "I do know what you are going through... Oh, and my question was not directed at you specifically, but really why anyone would join the police..." Justin finished, moving away to another table and sitting down, more to be out of Christy's direct gaze than anything else.
As he seated himself the music faded and a loud rumble of thunder bellowed outside, rattling the windows shakily.

Christy's Fine Tea and Delicious Pastries ~ 02/25/822 Skye sighs loudly and takes a sip from her cup of tea, just playing with her cup. But she says nothing for now.
After a while she stands up silently and walks to the table where is Justin right now. Still looking down at the floor while holding her cup.
"Can I pretty please?"
Skye asks silently more with weak tone and points at the chair next to him, still playing with her cup, waiting patiently for his answer.
Justin looked at Skye whom was acting as timid as a nursery child, and just before he opened his mouth he scalded himself internally for being about to jump down her throat in annoyance. after a deep intake of breath and a near awkward silence Justin spoke up quietly but encouragingly rather than disapprovingly. "Head up, junior constable......." he said sternly with an awkward pause "... Miss Skye." justin said correcting himself and then motioned to the seat she wished to sit at indicating she may sit.
"Actually can you do me a small favour?" Justin asked "Actually... nevermind i'll go myself" he said interupting himself and stood up, moving back over to the juke box Justin took out his card and swiped it, the machine lit up and became active again, displaying the track list "Track, One five nine, medium... uh, 2 repeats" he asked. the machine churned and then started playing the music.
Weaving around the tables, Justin reached his seat again and sighed silently, "So, miss skye, my question still stands.." he asked reaching into his chest pocket for the holocrystal again, the lack of a response made him pause and look at her. "Hows everything going? ..." he repeated while setting the crystal onto the table top and activating it, then scaling down the interface so it wasnt so large.

Christy's Fine Tea and Delicious Pastries ~ 02/25/822 Skye tries to smile at least a bit and sits down when he allowed it.
After a while he came back to the table and sat down. Skye is still playing with her cup, thinking how to begin again. Ah, question.
"Well everything has been okay so far, you know. I had two arrests, one levied fine and such..."
Skye says calmly now, looking into his eyes.
"I am sorry for... You know, being a complete idiot. It's just too much for me lately and I am taking things to my heart, exactly as you said. I am really sorry."
Justin looked at the woman whom was appologising profusely and interupted her, "okay, first... nobody said you were a 'complete idiot' so cut that out, you just lack confidence. second, its actually pretty normal for people to burn themselves on Christys drinks, she never seems to understand that boiling point is hot enough." Justin explained taking a gulp of his coffee, as it was now much cooler after all the talking that been happening.
"how was your first arrest? were you nervous?" he asked after calming her down.

Christy's Fine Tea and Delicious Pastries ~ 02/25/822 "If you say so! Well my first arrest... I was kinda nervous but mad in the end as well. But later I was really happy."
Skye says silently this time and give him datapad with some pictures. One, Two, Three, Four
"I had to destroy whole Bretonian Train in my little Hussar, it was kinda long but I managed to damage it. But when hull was cracking, probably his friend with Gaian Wildlife arrived as well and gave him all Nanobots and Batteries. So I switched target and attacked Serenity without a repair stuff, luckily his friend left him alone and I managed to arrest one of them, while the second one docked to Cardiff, oh well."
Skye sighs loudly and takes a sip of her fruit tea, purring in pleasure.
Justin took the pad and looked over the images, while listening to her story of the events. "where was your backup? there were no other officers around to assist you?" he asked sounding quite annoyed at this. "Things must have gotten even worse than it was when the slants were invading, back then we at least had the man power to call for some backup... Do you patrol alone?" he asked sonding genuinely concerned.

Christy's Fine Tea and Delicious Pastries ~ 02/25/822 Skye isn't sure how to respond though, but she is trying something.
"Well, lately Armed Forces are quite favorite in Bretonia and you know. People are going to reach high ranks, get on the board of the Cruiser or even Battleship and go to the battle for Bretonia. Two days and I could count almost 6 Armed Forces officers and only 2 Police ones. Ah and I can't forget that Privateer. I don't like them so much, even if they are working for Her Majesty, but still they are simple Pirates."
"And yeah, from 4 patrols I had just one with Officer who has a higher rank than me."
