With the lack of transparency comes the feeling of an almost authoritarian like atmosphere to the way the admin team deals with things. Players complain about mistakes, admins treat it as out of line behaviour that needs to be clamped down on, admins continue to work behind closed doors (out of fear of admission of fault? I don't know). Believe it or not, most players here actually want to play. Transparency goes a long way to promoting the health of a community like ours, and being open about the decisions you make doesn't mean we're going to descend in to anarchy screaming "WHY?". Quite the opposite.

The players should supervise the admins, not other admins.
That makes no sense.. Where would the point of having Admins come in? After all, they make decisions for the community. If the community monitors the Admins then there might as well be no Admins..
What's the point of having a government when there'S freedom of speech and elections? Is that what you are asking?

Xenon, if you like I can give you some ships to help you build another POB. I'd suggest building it in Inverness, since that system is pretty safe. For the sake of this thread though, you should probably adhere to the sandwich rule. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

You know that you and your teamspeak friends are metagaming , and you target the congress with all chars u have
you know that you target my base and if not you one day, they its one of your sick teamspeak squad
and i dont want to people be banned
i just want you to stop hating people outside of role play and start target them with all what you got
you even broke the rules and the lore just to fulfill your attacks desire.
i even tried to talk to you lot on ts squad and the first thing your friends or maybe you did , is changing nickname in arabic letters and start transmitting ISIS TERRORIST SONGS ON TEAMSPEAK !!!!!! this really show what kind of people you are
You are sick people who need to wake up and understand that this is just a game
play it instead of hating everybody and admins about it ........ and cry on forums and to others
you and your group are the worst thing happened to this server
and this server will suffer from your actions for long time since you are not in thrown away yet off it
Your metagamers group were behind the seige of all the base i built
in texas once , in kansas twice and in kyushu twice ... dont lie to the community because many know about your kind !!!!! grow up and play that game instead of oorp hate ... shame on people like you
In Kyushu it was destroyed by KNF, because you built it in illegal place one time, and anther because you built Cloaks on it even after being told specifically not to. You know, you can continue this poop throwing that you do, it won't accomplish much.
I agree that there have been an increasing number of bad decisions lately, almost none of which were acknowledged.
But I don't feel like I can really speak my mind here, because I'd be jeopardizing my position on unrelated matters.
Criticize too much and you may end up like Lyth, who gets screwed over no matter what he does.

Uhm, well, don't mean to burst your bubble but we were the ones, (mind you, keeping this incognito), who blew up your base in Kansas that first time - in hopes that we could achieve some kind of inRP-disaster, but apparently they wouldn't turn out well.
I don't really want to take part in these kind of threads because usually the administration side silences your opinion by invis'ing or banning you because you shared an opinion or view on something. But I would have to agree that the admin team really needs a review.

So now you're saying the citizens of a country oversee and dictate the jobs of which a government do?
Let's put this into context:
Player gets sanctioned - Admins explain why.
Community members ask for evidence and tell the Admins they're wrong because it's their mate or something.
Admins have to reverse the sanction because the Community dictates what the Admins do.

i know that, and the base got seiged by metagamers helping from everywhere (teamspeak group) and even banned player joined the seige using another IP ... very sick people
I think there is some truth to Omi's post. Certainly, situations could have been handled better. The [HF] situation, for one, was handled very poorly imo, and was based on inaccurate information provided to us from within our own ranks. The conversation between the [HF] players, just prior to destroying the base, indicated that their intent was to purposely grieve a Congress member, to their great delight. So, on that end, I don't feel sorry for them at all. However, the facts showed themselves to not be quite as bad as what they were laid out to us initially. The base was not destroyed 9 times, 6 times or even 2 times in the last year. At least, not by the same group of players.
We should have stopped, asked more questions and made sure of the facts before we Bastilled their ships. I'm sorry about that.
The situation with Altejago and Sarah has been a delicate one. Did Altejago circumvent his ban? Of that, I have no doubt. Without revealing personal and confidential information, the Admins thought it best to not take action against Sarah, who might not even have known that Altejago was accessing her ships. Besides, not a single person came forward to tell us that he was circumventing his ban. In fact, what little evidence I was able to investigate at the time, showed that his own faction members were trying to cover up the fact that he was playing. Bottom line, we felt it best to manage the problem, privately, taking into consideration all the factors involved, both inside the game and out. I take full responsibility for this, and if anyone needs to get beat up for it, beat me up.
I believe the Staff does the best they can, with the best of intentions. We make mistakes. I make mistakes. I don't know about the other incidents you mentioned in your post, Omi. I've been trying to lie low for awhile in order to focus on other things, so I'm unaware of the context behind Snak3's probation or the issues with the signatures. I've been a bit more active as an Admin this week, but if the community has a vote of no confidence for me, I will gladly step aside and leave the spot open for another to take.
