To the Board of Directors of the ALG:
Greetings. M' name's Sean Roberts, Salvage Director of the Junker Marauders. I come to you today with a proposition, in the hopes of a chartering a successful operation for ourselves and the strengthening of already solid relations on both of our fronts.
Recently myself and a few fellow Marauders have been running salvage operations in the New Hampshire system, attempting to garner what little remains of the still rather hot Libertonian-Rheinland war. As no corporation with a modicum of concern over safety wants to touch this system with a ten-foot pole, we've decided to grab what's valuable before the bigwigs in Liberty get their greedy little hands on it.
What we mostly found was a load of junk, the scarred out hulls of Libertonian and Rheinwehr warships slammed into each other, forming massive debris fields. But after a few days, we came across this beaut:
Initial scans and black-box recordings designate this vessel as the TGX Hapsburg, with records dating back...just over one hundred years ago. God only knows how this thing's still sitting here mostly intact, but it is. From what I can tell, it appears to be a much older version or variant of your proprietary "Golem" mover vessel. We haven't spent too much time digging into it, but the engine core's fried and the superstructure is about five minutes from collapsing in on itself. We've been able to shuffle it over to Beaumont Spire in more or less one piece, but that leaves us with a bit of a predicament.
Nobody at the Marauders wants to infringe upon your 'copyrights' or what have you, as I and everyone else would love to maintain our more than amicable relationship. However, I highly doubt you want to...well, even spend your time dealing with this pile of scrap. But, while you wouldn't find much use for a hundred-year-old trash hauler - we would. We've had a few broken up cargo ships lying around the Spire for a while, and with a bit of elbow grease...we might be able to put something together for the Marauder fleet. In exchange, we'd be more than happy ta pay some kinda fee, or help you folks out wi' the acquisition of resources.
That being said, it's all up to you. I could certainly use your advice and expertise on the matter, should you choose to be most gracious in this regard.
