I've got a couple things I was wondering about. First, do you think you could arrange for a salvage operation behind Gallic lines? There are some things we Gaians are looking to retrieve out in the Lewis and Orkney systems, you see. We'd be willing to pay for costs and you could keep any scrap beyond the specifics we're looking for. It's pretty dangerous out there though, you know?
And second, do you have any spare ships for collecting scrap that would also be to collect some samples from the smog clouds in Leeds? We're hoping to start a project to recycle some of the materials around. Maybe those CSVs your people always fly? I hear you also have some fights that do similarly? Could you elaborate on that? Thanks.
Since you seem to want answers quickly, I'll provide them as best I can as quickly as I can.
It is completely possible for our group to organize a salvage operation inside Galia itself, Lewis and Orkney should be fairly easy given that they're not particularly deep inside of Gallia. It'll take a little effort to keep it quiet so we arent noticed but it should pose no problems as long as it's done correctly. The costs will likely be minimal and i'd be inclined to wave any kind of actual payment on your part as a show of continued support for the Watchers.
To answer your second question yes, nearly all Junker ships are primarily designed as salvage vessels so almost any ship would work. In regards to your needs, rather than CSV's I personally believe that our Combat Freighter would be the better option. Given its size and durability as well as the radioactive nature of the smog cloud I would personally be somewhat cautious sending anything too lightly armored into it. If it's something short-term you're looking for, we can probably send one of our own salvage frigates out to assist for a little while.
'ello again! Sorry for the slight delay there. There were... distractions.
Good to hear about the salvage operation. You see, some of me friends lost some ships with some sensitive data in them, specifically a retrofitted Prison Liner that we've recently discovered in the nebula. We lack the tools to properly salvage the ship. Also a few other ships, namely some of our older Claymores. We were hoping you could salvage them and bring the remains over to Skye Base. I will get a copy of the specific coordinates and send them your way shortly.
Those freighters sound useful. Do you have any spares on Trafalgar by chance? Getting two or three would probably help to reach our goal. The salvage frigate part might be good later, too, but we need to get some better baseline readings first, you know?
A prison liner is a fairly large ship, but definitely within our abilities. Depending on the amount of ships and their varying states of damage, it may take some to salvage all of them. It's impossible for me to say before our salvage crews can move into position and check it out, though once the coordinates are sent I'll send a team out right away to check on them.
As of this transmission, three Combat Service Freighters are being set aside for your use on Trafalger. I would greatly prefer it if this was as temporary loan though, as Gaians flying our ships around on any kind of frequent basis may raise eyebrows and undue attention if they are seen. I doubt the Gallic Navy would enjoy seeing them fly around either, although i'm not sure if that matters or not to you.
