Taking out skilled players has become much easier, when their group of lesser-skilled comrades cannot feed them, thus allowing to balance out large group fights a bit.
However, this also means that snubs in particular are allowed much less room for mistake during such fights. I saw a bomber going on a run, only to find himself sandwiched between a gunboat and a cruiser. After he got out, it took only a few seconds for two other snubs to finish it off.
As such with this change, I would say that capital ships now have a much bigger impact on the battlefield, but less than an endless supply of BBs, but rather as meat shields for snubs.
Not sure if good or not, but that is what I am currently seeing.

Had some time to play around with it, still not a fan. Yes, things are much faster, no, I don't think that makes them any more interesting. Seems like a legitimate and interesting element of gameplay was removed.
More like it needed to be complimented by something else before implementing it.

Pls no endless supply of cannonballs aka MR with better speed and only sacrificing one gun.
I overall think it's a good change, has some drawbacks, especially in the ability to survive large ganks I would somewhat prefer to test it out with sharing only among the same ship-classes, and then compare the two, though I am not sure if that's technically possible to do.

It's what I've been working on figuring out. It seems possible, stay tuned.
