I totally disagree hehehe. That depend of your RolePlaying... i bet you talking from dark side. But in the light side... it have really much sense. For example, a part of my Helium BAR, i have a taxi service (long time ago), and I remember was really funny, to lead a convoy with 4 transports... detect pirates 18k away (also they with Spyglass or also with BS scanners) then... the Chase started!... i remember old Rogues and Outcast trying to chase us, doing great roleplaying and they, flanking us! so we only can run straight ... all this RPing... (not all is shooting like now)... of course, they chased us and then... starting the bussiness...(mainly paying the taxes and a plus for trying to escape)...
Now... You will encounter pirates just in your nose, and normaly... after just 3 lines of not really good RPing... your ship is scrap... that is how works now hehe.
I want BS and Spyglass scanners back to old ranges!!!
EDIT: I say more! right now... Battleship Scanner still cost 250.000.000 with 15/6, and Advanced Deep Scanner 15/2... so... that 4k extra cargo scan costing 249.920.000$ !!!???!!!??? not really good balanced
Either return the BS scanner to its previous range or keep the current model with a significantly reduced price tag. The current BS scanner's capabilities don't come anywhere close in justifying a 250 million credit price tag.
considering BS scanners are no technerfed to ship classes, and have been for a while BS scanners should be returned to their original form.
Though IMO the nerfing doesnt go far enough. GBs, Trans and below should be set to 10% nerf when equipping BS scanners (Not 75% as they are now). Do that, while restoring BS scanners to their stronger scanning abilities would be good.0
