All of us who came in to help get the GMG back on its feet... did so at a time that was apparently too late. We were under the impression that if we got to work getting the faction active again, and proved that it was really active again, the hardship request would be accepted. It seems it was decided before the hardship request was even filed... so we were grossly misinformed as to the process. Would have been nice to know.
Anyways, is there any way the staff could be reasonable about this, and in some way streamline the process of applying for official status anew in our case? considering all the work that's gone into reviving this thing?
This is a game after all, and you have nothing to lose as a server by accommodating the playerbase...

The decision was made when Mark posted the hardship request and there was absolutely nothing provided from the faction prior to the Sigma 13 event I started for you guys. Despite the fact that your faction took off after the Sigma 13 event, it brought nothing forward prior to that. In our minds, this is a brand new faction that has yet to prove itself worthy of Officialdom. If you had provided us some recent RP, either on the forums, or in game to show a connection between the old GMG faction and this new incarnation, it would have qualified you for the Hardship program. Sadly, there was none, and we must assume that this is a brand new unofficial faction that has yet to prove itself worthy of Officialdom. You have three months from the date of an Official faction request to do so.
Kicking an Admin from your faction ranks because you were upset at the announcement was poor form and a lousy way to start things off. It only succeeded in affirming our decision as a correct one, as it called into question the maturity of your leadership. I suggest acting in a more responsible and respectful way in the future, particularly if you hope to be granted Officialdom.

Wait, what ?
Who´s been kicked ?
Passing this on, as this is a total surprise to me.
Gateway activity: 2.18:41:41
XA activity: 1.13:58:23
Two combined: 4.08.40.04
GMG activity: 4.00:05:13
Clearly GMG alone had a comparabe activity in the past 30 days to the two factions that passed had COMBINED.nothing against that two faction of course, cheers for them passing. But GMG not passing with 4 days of activity and so much effort invested in it is an indication of biast judgement, and that is not how it suppose to be. GMG provided more activity to the server in game than a multitude of other still official factions. I seen the harm that this caused in the morale of the GMG factions chat, and its really upsetting that instead of support a faction that brings in their lore actively to the game, the administration simply ignored activity numbers, forum posts, and in game interactions, and simply just slammed the players in the face who tried to be constructive.
A shame honestly. What little I've seen of the new GMG guys had been (with a couple exceptions) rather good. I'm not sure I 100% buy into the idea that they should have to restart from scratch and lose their spot truth be told, but hey; not my decision.
Good luck in future GMG: don't let this discourage you from keeping on keepin' on.

Garrett, i would be wrong on many levels if i was personally acusing you, i was not part of the decison process, i dont have all the information pertaining to it so all i have is my impreession. Yes, blindly pointing a finger. However i was part of the constructive effort. And honestly if there was RP/Activity prior the resurection day and the Sigma event, there would have been no need for a hardship reqest. It was that day when we where told that we have a ground 0 situation, and a task to acomplish, one person toke the torch, others joined to help to not let a faction die that have a major role in the lore. Did the steps that we where told to do, forum/in game. Basing a decision on a condition that was pre existing, to the actual task that we where told to accomplish, renders the faith of the effort, and the task itself futile. Can't tell player to do X or the results going to be Y, than when X is accomplished say that, by the way Z was not there. If that conditon for the hardship request of prior RP was not met on the day of the request, than the request had no point, other than leading a lot of players to be discouraged. We did what we where asked to do on resurection day, unless we call the Doctor, we cant help what was done prior. But i feel what we accomplished is sufficent representation of an official faction. There are veteran members still in GMG, and there are new ones as well. Give them a proper chance.
I think people are confusing what the hardship program is, and how it works.
the HA is there so that struggling factions (that are still alive) can have a chance to regain their activity and regain their officialdom place.
From what ive seen about the forums, and many others it seems, this GMG| is substantially different enough to warrant starting from unofficial. If GMG| had shown any sort of life before the activity post, hardship would probably be warranted. GMG|'s activity only sparked afterwords with the changes and the S-13 event.
Consider this though: GMG| would have a bit of an easier time at regaining officialdom as you have everything you need and are quite active, compared to really starting from scratch.

Yoshi, you are using a lot of words to get out of actually providing what Garret asked you. Can you or can you not give what he asked you?
The factions that got accepted had more fresh RP than a comms that had been sitting there for months. This GMG is a new faction. If people really care, enjoy writing GMG things and like their faction's community, they can work on officialdom and it won't be that much of a big deal.
To clarify this a bit. The GMG aren't really going to have to race anyone or compete for officialdom. They're just going to need to keep up the amount of work that they're already doing. I know it must feel bad, but take some time off, come back, and you'll see that it really doesn't even matter in the slightest.
Unless this is about people being obsessed with carrying a blue title.

Can you, or can you not comprihand the logical reasoning and explanation i tried to convey pertaining the prior RP, it was a dead faction that was brought to life with old and new members, not a new faction. It's not a blue title obsession, it's a multitude of complex reasons, to moral, faction apeal to potential recruits, proper partake in lore and diplomacy, and prestige that official faction members benefit from. Absolutely no reason to nitpick on prior activity when a dormant faction was brought to life with OLD and NEW players.
