@Thunderer , I see you worry about the "cloned" parts - don't be, they are not an issue for now. When I saw his new model the engine was the first thing to get my sight upon - cuz just like you I thought its too bulky. But then I carefully overlook whole model and found the "weak" spots were actually covered with these "armor plating", so top hull armor, which no longer have "shell" was wide open and @Unlucky_Soul very logically assumed to place one plating there. The connection between top/bottom "shells" - element of all bretonian caps - were also reinforced. But the engine, without the plating is such an easy target and would look so much oddly simple. To make bigger engine and reinforce it with more hull plating is not bad move.
So far the middle/backward parts are fine and only the head needs tweaking, while both "shells" - serious modifications. Once he does that additional minor detail fixes could be initiated before final texturing.
To be totally honest with you , the model itself looks well made, the textures look nice too ( wish I could texture like that ) , however I do not feel like the whole thing fits the BAF/BPA shipline at all .
Just cause a few parts are take from the BS, Cruiser and the texture is the same, it still doesn't feel like it's getting there. The first, the very first concept you made was much closer imo, to what would fit in well.
And with all due, models should fit into the line where it needs to.
Don't get me wrong, it looks awsome, just not exactly fitting where it would need to.
Check OP. Made some minor changes to the top and bottom hanger/shell. Running out of ideas to make it look different and still keep it aesthetically Bretonian. Please give your inputs.
Oops forgot the control tower. And replace the yellow texture.

Well I already pointed you the things needed to be done at this post. You have some missing windows at area 1/2/3 and 4 (look the image for clarification). Flag changes are nice. Also here hint #11 - the destroyer shell. Do a try to replace it with the upper or bottom one for distinctiveness. I gave you ideas to test around - so test

There is no need to hurry to upload a new model if the changes from the feedback are not yet done. This new tweaked one is slightly different. Fix the yellow texture at area 1/2 (from image in my post 49) and think of a command tower to place there where needed.
As for the dunkirk shells - they need replacement not tweaking. Either use part of them but dont modify - aim for similar shape but to look as a new part. Other idea is to remove them and place something else there...like more hangar areas...more super-structure with quarters (similar to middle body). Try to aim to get same shape as now but just with different objects. Currently your model have only 2 hangars and it starts to look like an improved battleship. Look at LN carrier and its side hangars, considering BAF are working with them and already own few of their carriers - its logical to conclude they would take same setup as inspiration.
PS: If possible remove or hide your first 5 models (keep the last one currently in progress). Any time I try to open post 1 i get 5-10 sec delay and my phone no longer can open it cuz of the models. No need to make it heavier - I am sure other players noticed it any time you add new model page is getting slower. Take your time, dont be hasty and cheers.
Take a look at it from below. I think there's a glitch on the central structure.
Also, why don't engines have to have additional armour plating around them? Because of this. It means that there is no need to focus armour. That would make it aesthetically possible to sport two engines instead, which would help the ship steer easier (in lore) and also look better than a bulky one (in game). These two here have a potential to look good.
Just my own taste though. I'm not a professional designer, only one of the customers.
Dont want to sound nitpicky, but when viewed directly from the front its assymetrical, like a bit C shaped
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
