Only two sentences for your lord and savior? I have failed.
I was a silent trader at first. One of my first roleplayish thing was to fly to NY with an Outcasts, and tried to hit up conversations with random people. That's how I got ganked to dust first.
Also, I do remember getting some help from Moonlighting (?), and if I recall correctly, there were somebody with a miner ship (?) called Beathoven. That's a cloudy part, so I'm not sure about the name.
I came into New York and was trying to follow this group of Lolberty Caps, and i tried to talk to one named Alaska. I typed in local chat over and over again but he wasnt responding *i did not understand there was a local chat then a system chat* I met up with him and he gave me my first million, which I used to get a Camara, and from there I've been trading and workin mah way up. Thanks to whoever owned the 'Alaska' as you started my disco experience

My first way of making money was npc pirating at Omega 3 - 7 gate. After that I bought 2 transports and multiboxed for 2 straight weeks because I never read the rules, and nobody complained. Soon, a guy noticed it and warned me, and saved me a minimum 1 month ban. Fun times.
Edit: And of course, no RP engagements and reengagements before I read the rules.
I remember it as it was in previous life, but somehow it still saves in my memory. It was five years ago, I didn't has Inet at home yet. But father has established on his work and started playing Disco. One day I came to his work and get on PC, with kidish emotion lauched the Disco and begin with the naming my char. Lost about 20 mins, since all simple nicknames were already exist. At last stopped on "Leonardo" took it cuz Da Vinci.
Here I am, planet Erie on a starflier. I lauched to the space. There I saw few more starfiers walking around and a player on original defender (vanilla guardian). Dunno why but he started shooting on me, and have already killed some beginners before. I tried to answer his, even managed to shut shield down once. But someone skilled stopped us and peace-quiet-walking noobs around again. By impressions I took my way to New York, exactly to Norfolk where I was noobing. Sent group invite to a player with hegemon miner, he was full of Boron (I guess) and had his way to Baden-Baden, Stutt. He accepted the invite and with my low(none) english tried to write "hello". I failed and wrote "halo", he prolly though that I am german and asked something germanish. With worst translator ever I tried to tell him I don't understand. Well, he gave me 10 of this Boron and together he had our way to Stutt. There we docked on the planet and sold stuff. I switched off, cuz I had to go.
Two months later, I got Internet at home and from my PC I began playing again. Father already had some FL Friends, there were playing for OC with tag _Ghost. Well, then Dima_Ghost was born. Father and his friends gave me cash and I took OC GB. In the same evening, I have firstly saw what means "Gamma raid" and it was awesome. 20 vs 20, epical mortal fight and etc. Disco did not stop impressing me long-long time. That I call "short" story.
Back in 4.85 I was a 14 years old lolwut to be honest. First time I was flying around Pennsylvania and New York with a Starflier. I found out that I can make little profit trading something from Fort Bush to Pittsburg... It really wasn't much.
Few days later I met some random guy in the debris field asking him how to make money faster. He obviously sent me to the nebula behind Erie. Now money were raining at me way faster.
As soon as I gathered money, I bought a Rhino and decided to be a pirate (Yes, I've read some rules before). Still being below level 30, I decided to try npc piracy on the lane between Pittsburg and Fort Bush. Soon I disrupted a 5ker there and while I was trying to keep the lane disrupted and to avoid the turret fire from trade lane ring, that 5ker was discussing my behavior with someone else in system chat. It was something like:
// You should not be doing this as a civilian.
// No, don't report, it is some total roleplay dude.
Laughable days of my past.. My ship name was Darth_Satanus.

My first experience was making a bounty hunter and getting pwned repeatedly by the (at the time felt) best players in the game - then Bowex showed up, hired me, and kindled that Disco flame. Good times.
I think I actually had the luck of not doing silly things right away. I began my adventure by exploring Liberty and Bretonia in a CSV. My first actuall attempt at doing any sort of roleplay was trying to kick a Zoner Nephilim out of New London while flying the vanilla Crusader. I:
I've spent most of my first weeks as a derp, flying around and woking my way to a Serenity, trading random items around the place. Then [*USI*] picked me up and showed me pretty much every corner of Disco life. Doubt that I'd get hooked into the mod so much without them, so kudos to Universal for making me stay here!
I got here around the time of the 4.84 to 4.85 changeover. After a week or two of haulin Neon out of Penn, I was still a little confused about the different Faction Lores and Ship IDs and IFFs and all the Rules. I finally feel like I got a handle on it all and I make my way to N.Y. There are well over 30 ships in the system and lots of things going on. I spent what felt like hours making sure that my Dromedary Freelancer ID/IFF ship was legal to fly in NY.
So.....I get stopped in NY by Arms and Legs guy and he says. "The radio transponder on this ship is unreadable."
Me: //What? What did I do wrong? Freelancer Ship....freelancer ID...Freelancer IFF. What do you mean Unreadable?
AL&G: //Roleplay Dude. Your ships IFF and ID are fine. InRP my character cannot read your characters Radio signature. Use it inRP.
So, he darts off to some furball that erupted near FT. Bush and I spent the next hour asking every ship that passed by me if they could see my IFF.
