We got some information about your previous work, however we have a lack of information about your current status and work conditions. According to information that I have you are a suitable candidate for obtaining grants and contracts for our institutes projects. Intruiging... few people manage to find information on me. Well, you've got my attention. I'm not so comfortable revealing information about myself without really knowing who it is that is asking. I am sure you can appreciate a need for security, and, ur... I'll admit to a certain de...degree of paranoia. So, if you wouldn't mind... please may you level with me as to what kind of research you are considering exploring in this Foundation? Private institutes certainly have the potential for some very rewarding work, but experience suggests the side of caution...
In some ways I can understand you, independent researcher can never feel safe sufficiently. But before you will receive the detailss of the research itself I would like to know if you sharing the concept of our work, worldview and even philosophy if you wish so. So I would like to clarify some points...
First thing, we don't need mediocre work that usually is being made in universities by so-called 'scientists'. They just doing the same things, things that were done a centuries ago. I can't call it research as well as the other people in our organization, maybe it's just us. Corporate research centers are also going in a wrong way in our opinion. We believe that science should be free and motivated by a thirst for knowledge, instead of just squeezing ideas from scientists for the profit.
We providing selected scientists with all that is necessary and trying to make the most comfortable conditions of work. Sure I am not talking about luxury apartments, I don't have it myself. We have no such thing as a schedule of work, you can do it whatever you feel it comfortable... night, morning, evening. Of course, we expect only to see a sincere desire to work and learn, be sure any success will be financially rewarded, aside of ragular benefits that I mentioned earlier. The work itself will take place on a distant planet in the Edge Worlds, but don't worry you will be even more secure than in the "House space".
I hope you share our view of science and how it should be done.
Your 'philosophy' seems to be set from the right place and your lack of regulatory boundaries, whilst potentially a double-edged sword, is a liberating prospect. We share opinions on 'corporate science'... though perhaps you are a little harsh on the academic institutions? They cannot help being limited, it is what happens after you give yourselves to governmental agenda and funding.
This leaves me with some new questions. Why are you basing your foundation in the Edge Worlds? I have spent much time there... and danger is the new black out there. A potential reason that comes to mind is... perhaps you are looking to hide what you are doing. Is that the case Isabelle? Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with this so far. Secondly, and lastly... where do you get your funding from? No corporate backer... no government rolling your books... and promises of financial reward. Intriguing to wonder where it all comes from, no?
I am really glad to see that you are not agree with me at some points, this only confirms my positive assumptions about you. You do not have to share my point of view to work with us, as I tried to explain the freedom of mind is our main value. It does not mean we can't discuss it or that I will not try to convince you. However, since you have a question I temped to give them first priority. I hope we will have enough time to talk in the future and we will not be limited with that sort of formal tone of conversation.
So, why the Edge Worlds? You made both true and false points which is naturally. So called "Edge Worlds" is a really huge space with a different environment, in one case you will never get out of there alive in the other you will feel absolute safe. In our case the project will locate in a guarded space, believe me you will have a minimal chances to get harmed. Yes we don't want the information of our work to share uncontrollably and yes, we don't want to have House government keep an eye on us, I believe this is understandable. Funding comes from my father mainly, he have a personal interest in the new discoveries and no, this interest is far away from financial income, sounds unusual, but he is unusual person indeed.

Yo...you have won my interest over, yet I am cautious to fully commit myself to anything until I understand what it is you commissioning or intending to research. There are many reasons and commitments that tie me to house space... perhaps if I come visit to learn what it is you research then we may perhaps discuss something more concrete? Friends...family... there is a lot at stake if I were to suddenly disappear to the Edge worlds. I'm sure you empathise, if not truly understand. Where do I find these facilities of yours?
Sure I can understand what you are talking about. And I am always trying to find the compromise, so if you are not ready to work in such places there are other options. Again my task is not to break people, my goal is find freethinkers-researches and give them an opportunity to open their express talent in full measure. I guess you have heard about independent research center called Heisenberg which in the Koeln system? I believe we can organize our work there, sounds acceptable? Speaking of financial suppurt, let's say 70.000.000 credits for the first period.
Now about the details of the research itself... This is not a secrect that Cardamine has clearly expressed mutagenic properties. And as we know this mutations are -usually- pretty mcuh the same, but as you know as well there are many different deviations. What we want is to explore and classify this deviations. There will be a lot of work with statistics and genetic material. We are also interested how deviations are impacting the reproduction capabilities, we want to know more about genetic compatibility issues within the deviants.
