This thread is just for explaining what Teshurr and I are doing
We were inspired by that Grump guy from a while back and decided to take his ideas further and actually implement them in-game. We intend to continue with these factions to Election Day which will be early this November. After which, the winning character (who will be decided on by a poll on the forum, and not with the actual results of the election) will then be handed over to LibGov to use as they see fit. Along the way, we intend to campaign in game and have a few debates on the forum.
If this flies, it'll be amazing to watch. I might even make a character just to have some fun with you guys.
However, it seems somewhat Floodish and too connected to real-world events. These guys got kind of slapped around for shenanigans that are, on the surface, similar to yours, if somewhat more offensive, but people will draw parallels.
Was there real world inspiration? Yes there was. However, that's all it is, inspiration. I hope that it will "fly" however and not be considered "floodish", as Teshurr and I hope to do a great deal of RP with our factions. For example, on top of what I mentioned earlier, I might be making a deal or two with the Xenos throughout the campaign and he might reach out to some of the more socialist leaning groups of Sirius. The more people I can get involved in this project, the better, as the whole purpose of this was to broaden the popular definition of RP in this game to something beyond trading, pirating, policing, and fighting wars.
If this is something that you are interested in, I encourage you to join one of our campaigns, or if none of them interest you, feel free to create your own. I would love to have enough competing campaigns to justify a primary election.
And I was ridiculed for suggesting some kind of election rp back in the day :/
If I remember correctly you suggested election where the winner would get some real powers.
This idea is only about election RP which will produce character, not a player.

However I would still suggest to contact LibGov and pre-arrange some plan.
So my whole argument was flawed because the rp would result in something that people don't want. But to take the concept ideas and to change the proposed outcome: nooooooooOOOOOooo
Anyway, told you so.
Don't really care what you get from it. The rp is fun.

might I add also you have no idea what you are talking about. :|
please.
A biker lives by his own laws. Not a governments.
To have a biker try to go for politics would be a laugh riot for othe bikers that would ridicule him for a number of reasons.
So you see.. You think you are clever... But no your joke makes no sence.
