Why is that you absolutely must have a character with fur on their skin and ears of some animal nature? Why are you unable to roleplay a human character like other discovery members?
maybe he's a very hairy person (irl) and needs to express himself trough discovery thus the furry phenomenon
There's only ONE other intelligent species in Sirius as far as I am concerned. The two Species: Humans and Nomads.
I merely RP any 'Furries' as using a visual filter on their transmissions to conceal their identity. I don't like it when my immersion gets broken by something that does not exist according to Discovery Lore, I especially do not like it when they try to FORCE it upon me. Therefore my solution above. *shrug*
They can claim they aren't human all they want, all they'll get is a lot of weaponsfire for being 'Infested' by the Coalitioners.
In any case that's my 2 Social Credits. Carry on but keep it civil.
I don't really care if people RP as furries or not. What I don't like is when they're all cookie cutter "SO EDGY LOOK HOW UNIQUE I AM". Though I agree with Sonja, having people with furry characters actually act like social outcasts who are afraid of revealing themselves would be a breath of fresh air.
Yea, I understand that they're not written into Discovery lore, but on the other hand some variety wouldn't be too bad. tbh I'd rather have furries than magical nomads who can read your mind and control you

Edit: Phone fail yay!
Personally, I don't care as long as you don't throw it in my face. Okay you're a furry. I get it. I don't need you to shove it in my face beyond that fact...
And actually, I do agree with Sonja and Reid: having them act like social outcasts would be a lot more acceptable...also, no more Liberty's fault. Really, can't we just blame Kusari? It is Space Japan, can't we
Just blame them for awhile, steal their stuff?

This will be taken into consideration in future encounters, since I agree those are a very valid point here. My intention, to calm you down Reid, was not no 'look edgy' as you depicted it. Your idea of being anti-social outcast is a valid one and I will surely use it as a main motiff.
My final decision is that only the closest acquaintance will be revealed the fact of Cody being slightly different. This way, two birds are killed with one stone: players in comms will not be bothered by 'silly furries' (I will use Crimson Wolf logo instead of usuall videocomm) - while roleplay regarding more 'true' nature of charater will be relatively kept private (no inRP knowledge) and "revealed" only to the players giving ooRP allowance.
In addition, retconning it won't be necesairy onto forums, using the fact that Neon pointed out "zoo" as Jax Rogers and Cody uses the Crimson Wolf insignia which will can be easily turned into innocent joke regarding the logo.
P.S. Cody is Bretonian fault. Well, not directly, but... Veritas is placed in Bretonia onto Cambridge, I suppose... If not, correct me!
Tbh the character for Cody seems really interesting. I'm just concerned you're doing a diservice by making it a furry. It's going to immediately push people away from your character and limit the scope you have for RP and interactions. I think a character like that could neatly integrate as a human character and fit nicely in the RP canon, then again as others have said if a furry is RP'd in a realistic way it's not as bad.
